I thought Jamie O'hara would go on to do big things for club and country.

Cameron Lancaster, but that was injury related wasn't it?

We had a goalkeeper rated quite highly, I think he made a couple of squads, then he went to Liverpool, I can't spell his name properly Lawrence Vigroux.

Bale when he scored that goal at Craven Cottage in his first season. I thought Caulker would have been a future England captain too, still a little to early to find out though on that one yet.

At the minute i've got particularly high hopes for Shaq Coulthirst. Think AVB gave him his debut last season in the EL.

How has Ohara fallen so badly he did ok at spurs now where is he ? How a player can look comfortable in the prem league then keep dropping leagues. Goes to show how many variables there are talent a side for a young player, Bentalab got passed about, rejected and now plays for spurs. West ham used to give players a chance now SAMs there has anyone come though since ?

I think coulhurst has stalled last couple of years maybe he needs more of a challenge. I just wish we could give more kids a chance and sign less average squad players.

Maybe but he's got some aggression about him which I like.

I'd also like to see Onomah given a chance. Very young but I reckon he'll be the nuts if he applies himself, could be in our team within 18 months/2 years imo.

I agree but I am now hearing he was sold for non footballing issues

Oh really? Pray tell

Defo Caulker for me, presuming we're talking about people who we thought would make it but didn't. The Bale shouts seem a bit redundant

I think we have 5-10 who could appear Winks, KWP, Miller, sanoup, onomah, Oduwa, Ogilvie, cy, Maghoma, carter vickers, now Harrison, loft, Marcus Edwards, seem to be coming out of no where ( well the top secret younger accademy) I think have all played for England (CcV America CY japan) there all born in England and could well go on to shine.

I think we have won 3 international comps in the last month as well. So many players coming though really hope poch is the right man and wage give him time. We are doing really well at producing professional footballers and getting them careers ATM.

Aside from players still at the club (like Kane, Caorrll, etc.) - Adam Smith and Massimo Luongo.

Jordan Archer. Whenever I haveseen him in youth games,he has looked very decent. I hoped that after Gomes went that with Lloris and Friedel in front of him he'd have a good 3 year pathway at graduating to 2nd choice keeper and then 1st choice keeper. Yet we bought Vorm and loaned Archer to Northampton Town where he is struggling to get in the squad, let alone a game. So we have to chalk that one down as a loss.

Also Jamie O'Hara is a bit of a mystery. Always thought he'd played decent enouigh for us. OK, he wasn't Viera, but should be first choice at a top-half PL club. He's out of a job at the moment.

Andy Turner was another who arrived with a bang and left with a whimper about 2 months later. Scored a belter on debut then disappeared.

I've got to the point where I no longer take it for granted that any kid will make it no matter how bright they shine as youngsters. It's about so much more than pure football ability. Mentality, character, attitude and plain old luck can play huge parts too.

We've produced a bunch of well schooled kids lately with varying degrees of talent and all I've wanted is to see them tested properly, with us, not thrown to the wolves in hotch potch teams away in the Ukraine before they are written off.

I think Pritchard should be here this season, especially as we are so short on creative attacking options from the bench. Very disappointing.

I am baffled by the decision to sell Adam Smith rather than promote him to back up RB. Yes, he had some defensive learning to do, but the boy had ability and full backs are so fucking rare, and we certainly aren't blessed with geniuses in that dept.

But it's really pleasing to see Bentaleb out there regularly.
