It was like before the Chelsea game and how all your Chelsea mates were saying "it'll be a tough game", and you're just standing their thinking 'if you think this will be a tough game, then you haven't watched spurs a single game this season'

A LFC fan in my office not only said that we'll get something out of the NLD but he said we'll beat Liverpool as well.

I said exactly what you said: "you couldn't have seen us play this year then"

Does he think you are a City fan?

He thinks we'll get off lightly. I'm not so sure myself!

Liverpool v Tottenham (16:00 BST)

Liverpool's games get tougher now. I think they're starting to believe they can win the league - and that belief grows game by game.

Sunderland made it difficult against them on Wednesday. It felt like Liverpool started to tighten up after scoring twice. Sunderland made changes and started to have a go and it looked closer than it should have been.

Manager Brendan Rodgers rightly points out that if Manchester City or Chelsea win all their games, they can't win it. They'd love to, but they're reliant on other results and I don't think Liverpool will go unbeaten for the rest of the season.

I don't think Tottenham will go to Anfield and try to defend. In fact, I don't think they can defend.

And I don't see them starting next season with Tim Sherwood in charge. He's done a good job but when he got the 18-month contract, everyone thought he'd probably be manager until the end of the year and they'd bring someone else in.

I think he'll get a job somewhere else. I like the fact he's tried to organise Tottenham and change the way they play. Their problems started last July or August when they signed too many players. The dynamic of the dressing room is very difficult. I still believe they don't know what their best team is.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

He's repeating himself with "they signed too many players" argument time after time. It can't be that bad.
One thing is clear to me: Lawro hates Spurs.
What is good though, when he predicts our loss we are likely to do better.

Think what you want about him, I think that line is brilliant.

I am not sure what it's more - flattering or derogatory?

His first line about not knowing where West Brom will get goals from neatly dovetails into his result. where he has West Brom scoring 2 goals. amazing journalism sir. I salute you

West Brom v Tottenham

West Brom are not safe yet and, like Sunderland, I am not sure where their goals are going to come from.

Tottenham got a great win over the Black Cats on Monday but they are not going to make the top four now and their manager Tim Sherwood is in a very difficult situation because of all the speculation in the past few days over what will happen to him in the summer.

If the players don't think Sherwood will be there next season then some of them won't be too bothered if he gives them a rollicking.

Sherwood has to pick enough players that care and ensure the season does not just fizzle out.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

George's prediction: 2-2

Wow...Lawro doesn't mention £100m spent in the summer or 7 new players being too many at all. He usually loves to wheel out those lines and repeat them over and over and over and over

West Ham v Tottenham (12:45 BST)

After four defeats out of four in April, it feels like the pressure is back on West Ham manager Sam Allardyce.
Allardyce is one of several Premier League managers who cannot be sure they will be in the same job come the start of next season. The Hammers owners have got a big decision to make.
Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood is another man whose future is uncertain, although his team's form is completely the opposite to West Ham's - his side have picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 in the same period.
Sherwood will be driving them on to end the campaign with two more wins because that would equal Spurs' record points tally of 72 in the Premier League era.
But, because this is a London derby, current form does not come into it much.
West Ham have already beaten Spurs twice at White Hart Lane this season in the league and Capital One Cup and I have a feeling they will pick up another point on home turf on Saturday.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Lawrenson questions whether Mauricio Pochettino will be given time to implement his ideas at Tottenham Hotspur

By The Sport Review Sunday 1 June 2014, 16:59 UK

Mark Lawrenson has questioned whether Mauricio Pochettino is the right appointment forTottenham Hotspur.

The 42-year-old signed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane last week after standing down as Southamptonmanager.

Pochettino won many admirers after guiding the Saints to an eighth-place finish playing attractive football last season.

“I have been asked many times this week if I think Mauricio Pochettino is the right fit for Spurs,” Lawrenson wrote in his Liverpool Echo column.

“My answer? I genuinely couldn’t tell you. They go through manager after manager at White Hart Lane and I really can’t work out what they are looking for from the man in the dugout.

“Pochettino certainly did a very, very good job at Southampton and the club has become a conveyor belt for excellent young players.

“But Tottenham are a really strange club to manage, it seems.”

He continued: “If Spurs are at home and not 1-0 up after half an hour then the murmurs begin to circle around the ground. It has always been like that.”

The former Liverpool defender also questioned whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will give Pochettino time to implement his ideas after disposing of Harry Redknapp, André Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood in the past three years.

“Pochettino will believe he is the man to bring success to the club but the big question at Spurs is: will he be given the time?

“Liverpool are reaping the benefits of giving Brendan Rodgers time to implement his ideas at Anfield.

“If he had finished seventh at Spurs in his first season would he still be in a job? It’s doubtful.”

I fucking despise this man and over the years he has consistently shown utter contempt for our club. Off season now and he still uses whatever he can to have a go. But then again, we did get rid of his mate Harry so he will have that axe to grind for some time yet.

Such a prick, they should keep his crap in the Liverpool echo. It saddens me that the License fee pays his wages.
