What an absolute twat that guy is. His rationale is an absolute joke - its the one game that we didn't look like a collection of individuals lol...the irony of that statement is quite incredible.

Why not just say they're simply a better team, with better footballers, more match winners and one of the best managers in the world.

Yeah, but, the fancy Dans of Tottenham aren't Liverpool.

Lawro predicting 2-0 Chelsea, fair enough but did he actually watch the game against Everton!!!

'Tottenham have not won at Stamford Bridge in 27 attempts since February 1990, and I cannot see them changing that dreadful record after watching them against Everton on Sunday.

Yes, Spurs won the game but they look like a collection of individuals and every department of the team looks disjointed.'

Unbelievable!

Not really. It would have been better if he'd said the team had looked like a collection of individuals before Sunday, but I don't think anyone can honestly say they saw that performnce coming after the string of dismal showings we've been forced to endure over the past few months. Until we start repeating it on a regular basis, pundits are going to judge us by the norm rather than the exception.

Nobody knew when it was going to come exactly or if it would for sure, but for the people who had faith in Pochettino and his style of play - it was most likely going to happen at some point, as far I was concerned anyway. Just pleased its happened now, providing we see it on a consistent basis from hereon in that is.

And its been pointed out numerous times on here that some of the senior players at Southampton had said it took the guts of 6 months before they got to grips with his style of play - and according to my maths, to use your phrase lol, we're around that arn't we.

Its hardly shock of the century - a manager needing some time before things are looking rosie
And in this case he was specifically drawing his rationale from the Everton game - which made it pretty flipping stupid in all honesty.

Quite, which was my point, and why I suggested it was Lawro's (or his sub-editor's) choice of tense that was the problem rather than the observation.

Or maybe he's an idiot and actually thought we were bad against Everton. I certainly wouldn't put it past him.

I seem to recall he was quite complimentary on MOTD2.

I honestly dont get the Lawro hate, although I can understand why many feel, 'I could do that, gissa job'.

Most of the predictions he does for Tottenham are based on the result he hopes we'll get as opposed to what he probably thinks.

I know I can't claim to know what he's thinking lol, but that's the impression I get quite regularly.

I don't buy his logic in this case but the result prediction wouldn't surprise me.

Would fucking love it if we manage to scrape a result of some kind.

2-0?!! I think he's being kind, tbh!! Although we played quite well against Everton, we still look alarmingly wayward in defence and can nothing better than three past us!! But you never know, we are Spurs after all!!!

His English is the problem, not his logic or his analysis.

True...you should see Mersons predictions over on skysports website. Every week he says 'I'm going to go with my head not my heart' or 'this isn't because I used to play for Arsenal'...a lot of the time the football doesn't come into the equation.

Lawro seems to copy and paste his Spurs predictions and write up each week. The blokes a cock.

After watching him praise us on MOTD2 the other night I see he has reverted to type and gone full numpty. Ok Chelsea might win but he's just completely disgarded our performance on Sunday with those comments, what a twat.

It's his whingey northern accent that does my nut in the most.

They should beat it out of them
