It would have been better if he'd said the team had looked like a collection of individuals before Sunday, but I don't think anyone can honestly say they saw that performnce coming after the string of dismal showings we've been forced to endure over the past few months. Until we start repeating it on a regular basis, pundits are going to judge us by the norm rather than the exception.

Nobody knew when it was going to come exactly or if it would for sure, but for the people who had faith in Pochettino and his style of play - it was most likely going to happen at some point, as far I was concerned anyway. Just pleased its happened now, providing we see it on a consistent basis from hereon in that is.

And its been pointed out numerous times on here that some of the senior players at Southampton had said it took the guts of 6 months before they got to grips with his style of play - and according to my maths, to use your phrase lol, we're around that arn't we.

True...you should see Mersons predictions over on skysports website. Every week he says 'I'm going to go with my head not my heart' or 'this isn't because I used to play for Arsenal'...a lot of the time the football doesn't come into the equation.
