Yeah 2-0 or 2-1 with his reasoning being ..

"Liverpool seem to be turning their season around with 2 wins from their last 2, I expect them to have too much for a Spurs team who are poor away from White Hart Lane, Liverpool will be looking to take advantage of their leaky defence"

Something along those lines I guess

Liverpool v Tottenham

Again, I'm going to go with a reversal of the opening day result and that means a Liverpool win.

You know what you'll get from Tottenham - good attacking, flowing football that creates plenty of chances and yields plenty of goals.

But I just think that Liverpool are starting to get a few breaks now. They're still not playing particularly well and I don't yet think Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard are 100% yet, but a couple of recent results will have built the confidence in the camp and this could be a good game for them.

Verdict: 2-1

He went with a draw on the opening day, the fucking idiot. Absolute tosh that he comes up with sometimes. Suppose we should have expected this though.

Brett, you got it spot on mate.

Yeah, but have you seen Alan hansen's match preview:

(I paraphrase)"Liverpool will win because Spurs are very good at the moment, but Liverpool traditionally beat them, so they will win"

liverpool are odds on favourites to win - without seeing team sheets i would go along witth lawro's forecast - it's the most logical result of the three available

We will do them this time.

I base this on the itch in my left testicle, clearly a sign of a win

Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham

Tottenham will take the lead, but then bottle it towards the end. Quick fire goals from Torres and Benayoun after defensive lapses by Gareth Bale will leave Liverpool within 1 point of their Champions League rivals.

I have to agree with you DC. Sadly our performances against the big 4 this season, opening game aside, have not been up to scratch. When was the last time we won a game AWAY at one of the Sky 4 which was not a cup game....

exactly SD - hence my last post hoping for a postponement - perhaps catching pool in the middle of a europa tie without torres or gerrard or summat

Benitez would prioritise the Prem over the Europa.

Liverpool will likely have a fit Torres, Gerrard, Johnson and Mascerano will have returned by then too. Makes it a whole lot more difficult imo,

Having Johson at RB makes it alot easier as he cant defend to save his life, god help us this summer if he's our RB in S.Africa.....

Johnson is out for quite a while though I thought? Not sure about Mascherano, this was the last game of his ban but he's injured too.
