FA Cup: Tottenham 2-2 Leicester highlights
Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri will have taken more away from his side's FA Cup draw with Tottenham on Sunday than Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Foxes were missing quite a few regular starters but they carried a real threat and were quite unlucky not to win the game.
I just think this game will be completely different, though, especially because I cannot see striker Jamie Vardy returning from injury yet.
Tottenham will be much improved with their strongest line-up, and should take the points.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0
Elis James: 1-0
SAM's prediction: 1-1
Dammit. He's predicted us to win again. Has this man got no shame!!Losing so late on against Leicester on Wednesday night was a big blow to Tottenham, but I still think they have got a great chance of finishing in the top four.
I have heard a lot of people asking 'why can't Spurs win the league?' in the past couple of weeks, but they draw too many games for that - they have drawn as many as they have won.
Sunderland got a great win at relegation rivals Swansea and will be buoyed by that, but the last thing they needed was for Spurs to be beaten by the Foxes because I think we will see a reaction to that defeat from Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0
And Liverpool v United with a write up as long as my.....
Liverpool came back extremely well to draw with Arsenal on Wednesday. I was at Anfield for BBC Radio 5 live and what was interesting was that Jurgen Klopp's side took the lead twice, and were really good for 25 minutes when they played their pressing game.
But they cannot sustain that at such a high tempo for 90 minutes and, as we saw against the Gunners, when they tail off against a really good side, then the opposition come back into it.
So, I never thought they were in control of the game against Arsenal and it is likely to be the same against Manchester United, who will have an extra day of rest. That might affect Liverpool's ability to press, which would definitely help United.
I don't see United playing as open as they did against Newcastle at Anfield, though. Louis van Gaal's side will come and sit and look to hit Liverpool on the break. Van Gaal is under a bit of pressure, but I don't think his side will lose.
Everyone has been writing Wayne Rooney off but he has shown in the past three games that he is still the best player they have got, even if his legs are not what they were.
Lawro's prediction: 1-1
Tottenham have the odd blip but they always bounce back, which is the sign of a good side.
Spurs won three in a row after losing at home to Newcastle before Christmas, and they took Sunderland apart last week after being beaten by Leicester.
I am going for another Spurs win here too. I was at the Etihad last week to see Crystal Palace beaten 4-0 by Manchester City, and they did not carry much of a goal threat.
The Eagles have not scored in any of their past five league games, so it was clearly not just a one-off.
Lawro's prediction: 0-1
Yeah, surprise surprise, a draw for Liverpool away at Leicester. I don't think that there is any fixture that he would predict a Liverpool defeat.I don't usually bother with Lawro's so-called predictions because... well, we all know why. But I have to say that, even by his one-eyed "objectivity", his prediction for the Norwich game is bizarre.
Now, of course, Sod's Law may mean he might actually turn out to be right. But surely an "expert" predicts on current form, recent results, injuries etc., not on a "feeling."
Would he, for example, have tipped a Norwich win if they were playing his beloved Liverpool? Of course not. In fact, he predicted they'd draw 1-1 in that very fixture the other week.
But when it comes to Spurs, arguably THE team the Scousers are chasing for 4th place... well, then he just can't help himself replacing a "prediction" with a "wish."
I don't want to be banned for a profanity, so I'll just say "He's a right constable."
