Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me.
Apparently, he's also Bayern's #1 choice and I can see Chelsea/Utd being interested in him too if they part ways with Poch & Ten Hag.
He will certainly have a lot of suitors this summer.

I wonder where Amorim ends up if not Liverpool/West Ham.
I can't see him wanting to go to United in their current state, although wouldn't rule it out completely.
He's always striked me as a potential Chelsea manager. But again, I can't see them parting with Poch unless they completely implode.
Maybe he sits tight at Sporting for another year and then goes for the City job when Pep leaves in 2025.

My gut feeling is this is most likely. And then if he doesn't get City he'll explore other options.
Emery contract extended until 2027. I saw noise about Bayern looking at him (along with De Zerbi), I guess this might fend off any interest.

Agreed, this struck me as a typical WH noise maker.
We see it every year, they are going to sign a HUGE manager and don't. They are ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY going to break the bank and try to sign Mbappe....only to say "we tried, but he only cared about money" and then sign a striker from Wycombe.

I find it odd how we keep seeing signs that Liverpool have found their man only for those links to quietly peter out. Like us in previous years, the longer they leave it to find the guy they want, the fiercer the competition for that candidate will be.
I think they're flailing a bit, personally. All the stars were aligning for Alonso to swoop in except he... said... no.
