they have had a slightly more intense pre-season than most, and have just had a quick 3 week break, I doubt most of those due to return on Monday have been sitting on their arses for the whole 3 weeks, and I'm sure most will be in good shape come next Saturday

How will that play out over the course of the season, especially after a tough winter period when the CL knockout stages start again? Getting new bodies in now will not really help either, but shows how important it is for Poch to get new signings on 1st July where possible. For example, Grealish and Zaha both could have had a full pre-season with us if we'd been braver.

Eh. Can't really consider the World Cup pre season. It's more like an extension to last season than it is a pre season.

Levy’s actions this window will cost us Kane, Eriksen, Dele, Hugo, Jan on top of Poch. If you dont think there watching this calamity closely, your nuts. Why stay at a club where the chairman lacks any ambition?

Are you like this in real life?

im honestly not expecting any news till deadline day
I think stuff will become clearer in next few days, to the point where maybe only one new name pops up on deadline day.

Don't expect any announcement before last hour though, if any.

We've been hearing "things should become clearer in the next few days" for about a month now :ROFLMAO:

I know right - I was merely basing it on the fact we seem to have 3 targets - yet you rarely get more than one surprise.

I'm with you - I'm already in panic mode, but if we haven't heard of any developments by Tuesday then it's really time to start worrying...

They would but then would Poch rather his second/third choices with a full pre season, or his first choices without one?

Thing is everything may be geared around that one signing. If we get him then the players we bring in around him are different to the ones we go for if we don't get him.

Risky game but it might just be one that Poch is willing to risk waiting on.

All hypothetical of course.

Precisely, its becoming clearer than ever this summer that if we do sign 2-3, they come as a group as such. One effects the others in that group (HG etc).

just seen Tix's answer at the bottom to you, and put a lot better than I would of, and also around 100 words less:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

to be honest it's more an "inbetweener", but will come back to bite a lot of teams in the arse by the end of the season

Ok thanks for the info.

Just a flippant, throw away remark borne out of frustration. Going by past experience I will be very surprised if Poch gets his first choices in though, obviously would be delighted to be proved wrong.

IMO This is what Poch meant by being brave
