Ties in with ITK
which?
Ties in with ITK
Can’t remember but one where it was said that we had to break even every year until stadium is built then we can loosen the purse strings bit by bit so to speak. How true it is I don’t know, not sure Levy will ever give a manager true riches or up the wages but sadly we need to if we want to compete these days money talks.which?
So lloris wouldn’t get in any of them? (Liverpool or arsenal)
Or Rose? (Most of them)
Or Wanyama (most of them)
Or Eriksen (some of them)
Or Son (some of them)
And then add Toby jan and Kane so a good 7-8 players who could get into most of the top6 teams.
It’s a bollocks point mate, our team is good it’s just that our first XI and squad is no where near man.citys. We also lack 1-2 game changer type players that most of these clubs have : city have loads then there are: hazard, mane, salah, coutiniho, Sanchez, ozil, pogba, martial. We have son on his day and Kane and then no one as alli and eriksen so inconsistent.
Fair, I see your points and do tend to agree pal. We need to really strengthen the squad, poch has really had us massively over performing the last few years. We are just finding our true level now.I didn’t use Liverpool in my comparison, they’ve consistently finished below us in the last 6-8 years.
Lloris is not better than Ederson,DeGea, Courtois and is probably level with cech.
On current form Rose is struggling and who says it’s not a permenant result of his injury.
Eriksen consistently goes missing in the big games and Son isn’t even s regular starter for us.
I’m not saying they are bad players they are not, and on our day we are capable of beating anyone. But we lack consistency and know-how for the big matches and I just don’t think Amy of the big clubs would look at anyone outside of Toby, Kane and Jan. Madrid are after Alli purely for the marketing side. He’s not good enough to start there, his football is a side-show to the brand.
Said it many many times and will say it again Poch failing is from the summer - he didn't and I think still doesn't know how to improve us in the final third
There are four or five like that on here, this place was dead midweek ... Moths to a flame.Funny how you've been silent since Lamela returned yet turned up the instant we lose. Wum.
Poch has a long way to go to be on peps level but then so does pretty much every manager in the prem.
i guess what's more valuable the 50 million or sending a message that the club is in control not the player. if they want to leave fine go to psg or bayern, if the player still doesnt want to go then fuck 'em. 50 million doesnt go that far anymore these days. But what if he won't go abroad? we can't afford to let 50-60m pound players rot in the reserves mate.
It's an easy thing to say as a fan though.
What a great post. I totally agree with thisAs mentioned in the player thread, this is the first time I am genuinely annoyed with him today.
If Eriksen was passive then I've no idea what that makes Poch.
You simply can't sit and wait for something to change on the field. Especially when it's so bleeding obvious that there should have been two changes. Unfortunately this does seem to be a blind spot for Poch and unless he starts to become more proactive it is going to undermine all the great work he does.
I shouldn't be screaming at the screen for Lamela to be brought on. I shouldn't be wanting basic and clear changes to be made 20 minutes before he decides to do anything. Poch should see it way quicker than a football fan.
I'm sorry but he did nothing but hope in that second half. Great managers don't do that and whilst I don't want to be so hard on him there has to be a realisation at some point that his lack of pro-activeness is costing us.

wenger out
But the club isn't in control...power is with the players though mate, they know this, their agents know this.i guess what's more valuable the 50 million or sending a message that the club is in control not the player. if they want to leave fine go to psg or bayern, if the player still doesnt want to go then fuck 'em. 50 million doesnt go that far anymore these days.
This has been previously confirmed by Hercules“When we arrive at our new stadium and focus only on investing and trying to improve the team, people will be allowed to blame us if we don’t achieve,” Pochettino said. “But today, it’s completely unfair that people are going to compare us with City, United or Chelsea. We are on a completely different way.”Taken from this article. Seem's to suggest spending promises have been made once we're in the new stadium.
This summer Poch is going to have to make some tough decisions. Looks like some players are going through the motions a bit, others like Dembele coming to the end of their peak. Might need a total reboot of the team going into the new stadium, which is nor ideal.
