our best player in last 3 matches by country mile. brilliant in milan, class in wolves and again tonight. alot of work goes unnoticed. what he offers defensively has been priceless and saved us imo on several occasions.. but he is very good. great antiscaption, work rate and determination. keep it up kid. a very good central midfield player who knows hpw to play there unlike some midfield players we have lol!!!!!

Sandro has definitely put himself ahead of both JJ and WP as our defensive midfielder for the time being. He will no doubt be the major challenger to Huddlestones place in the side if he keeps this up, right now he is certainly first choice.

Reminds me of Vieira.

I'm genuinely racking my brains for someone who was as good at reading the game defensively as him at the age of 21. In addition he can pass, he's fairly mobile and good when he recieves the ball.

Steady on. Makelele was one of the 4 or 5 best players of his generation, for mine. He plays the game differently as well. Gets around the pitch far more (especially the attacking third) but yes, good reading of the game and nice simple passes if something else isn't on. Nice first touch and decent vision.

In a couple of yrs from now, could be a bit bloody spesh.

Plays more like Dunga or Gilberto than Vieira or Makelele, hasn't shown Vieira's passing range and just can't see the Makelele comparison.

I think with time Sandro could develope into a more complete player, passing ability wise.

But he needs to do it consistently for a couple of seasons before anyone could really compare him to Makele.

Makelele Couldn't shoot. Apart from that goal against us the first time we beat them, but that was a serious one off.

Makelele was a superb passes and shielder of defence. Sandro seems to me like he may be a better ball winner, whilst his defensive play is actually pretty excellent. Positioning is superb.

Sandro at 21 can become the best in the world in his position, which has a limited amount of other footballers doing it. He reminded me of Mascherano.
