What a waste of time! someone has let down not just themselves but the club and all of the young players what a total balls up

This is a similar mentality to youth coaches sacrificing player development for trying to win trophies. Youth trophies mean nothing, all our young players will have gained a lot from the tournament, it's a shame they won't get to face Barca or Ajax, but really it's all about creating young players not the Next Gen Cup.
