If what JJ says is true - and I've no reason to doubt it - then I'm sad we withdrew. It's a kids tourney. If it's a technicality then there should be space for common sense. If the team against we committed a technical error haven't complained and it is history then even more so.

The fact that they waited until we beat them to raise it shows that Liverpool clearly have zero class. Utter utter scum. Before the Suarez affair I disliked them. After the Suarez affair I really disliked them. Now I can't stand them. Pathetic scouse cowards. If there are any scousers reading - you are a disgrace to our league.

They weren't registered and they found out and sat on it.....
Once we realised we did the right thing and pulled out as we had made the initial mistake and held our hands up.
very disappointing for all involved at spurs.

Oh, thanks JJ for clearing it out! This one really disturbed me!.

That has to be one of the most despicable dislays of sportsmanship ever. They've effectively ruled out the 3rd place getter in our pool from continuing on in the tournament. I hope we sue them for all the costs we incurred in hosting them

Welll done SpursIdol - think Olaya must've been one of the players that caused this.

Thanks for the info JJ.

As others have said, what an utter lack of class from the scousers.

For once I want one of the Daily Mail semi-journos to read this thread and write a story so the world can know what nobs Liverpool are. Is there a signal we can send to get the Daily Fail trawlers to read this?

Perhaps a new thread "Pssst, new ITK, don't let any journalists see it"?

Rules are rules and a big club like Spurs should have known about them, there are no excuses for the blunder the club committed. All the other clubs read through - and obviously understood - the rules for the tournament.

Yeah, I don't think anyone's disputing we broke the rules... but that Liverpool realised and waited til we'd beaten them before raising it fucking stinks... Liverpool are a disgrace of a team... and I really don't like tarring all supporters with the same brush... but they're supporters have a higher proportion of idiots than other clubs... LFC's behaviour certainly doesn't help this... fast becoming my most hated team in the league!

We broke the rules, we can't blame anyone else.

It is however very annoying that another club would sit on something like this and then suddenly bring it up because we beat them.

I can see it now, Kenny reports Tottenham to F.A. after losing 6-0 because Gareth Bale is inhuman.

Liverpool Football Club in Lack of Morals shocker.

Still disappointing from an admin pov at Spurs, mind. Should be on this sort of thing.

Hopefully we can approach Barca/Ajax or other teams that did well in the Next Gen and arrange a couple of competitive friendlies towards the end of the season, possibly even a mini-tournament in say late April or pre-season?

Good plan - and its been done before, in April 2009 Spurs bear Barcelona in the semi finals and Sporting Lisbon in the final of Tourneo Internazionale in Bellizona, Switzerland.

Be nice to do it again though.....

PS ...and a couple of triallists are often explcitly allowed in these youth tournaments !

Ajax have their own tournament around that time. It's called the AEGON Future Cup and the teams already announced are Ajax as the hosts, our sister/feeder club Ajax Cape Town, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munchen and Manchester United. 2 more European spots to fill and 1 from Brazil who have to play a mini-tournament to win a ticket for Amsterdam.

Oh btw...

The Ajax kids won 3 - 0 in Barcelona today.

Well done Ajax, now hammer those scouse twats

6 - 0 for Ajax. Fischer 3x, Klaassen 2x and De Sa.

Score could've been higher, but Liverpool were making a lot of fouls out of frustration after the 6th goal (who came only seconds after the 5th).

We would have wiped the floor with you. Must be thanking whatever pot god you worship that a minor clerical mistake took the greatest team to ever grace this competition out of it
