Well done Broncos! (even if Tebow does get a bit annoying with the thanking his lord and saviour all the time).

Tebow is a genuine surpirise this season. His numbers are brilliant from last nite in a kinda weird way. Tebow 316 anyone? Thats his passing yards from last night. It was great to watch

I don't have a problem with Tebow being a Christian, I get annoyed that he has to display it on national television every week. Loads of players in the NFL are religious, e.g Larry Fitzgerald holds a bible study group each week, but they don't feel the need to make a show of it. Tebow's a self proclaimed virgin, I know this because he felt the need to tell the world during a TV interview. Tebow is another example of how Christianity is getting rammed down our throats in the States.

Jake Plummer summed it up best: “I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ then I think I’ll like him a little better. I don’t hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every single time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff.”

Gutted I couldn't stay up to watch the second game last night. From what I saw on SportsCenter this morning it looks like Tebow pulled it out again.

Not sure it matters really if I am honest as New England should make easy work of them.

Tebow put a sock in a lot of mouths there Sun evening with 316 yards. Pleased for the Kid and hope that those that find it easy to abuse the guy are big enough to be apologetic in their comments?
But hiding behind a screen and slagging the guy off is easy saying "Yeah I was wrong"takes a big man
I think though that their visit to the NEP will possibly be the for this season. Hope I am wrong tho:)
Shall be cheering on the Pack like every year.

I'm assuming this is partly aimed at me as I'm Tebow's biggest critic on here.

I have nothing against Tebow as person (except his constant OTT religious displays), what I dislike is the Tebow fans and the media. Tebow did what was needed of him, not to turn over the ball and make the occasional play to prevent the opposition from filling the box. The winning streak that Denver went on during the regular season was more down to Matt Prater, easily one of the best kickers in the NFL yet gets next to sod all credit, and the running game, which is ranked no. 1 in the NFL, but Tebow got pretty much all the credit. Mark Sanchez took the Jets to 2 AFC championship games in his first 2 years. He missed the playoffs this year and the media are calling for his head. Tim Tebow has won one playoff game and now he is viewed as a miracle worker and the second coming.

As much as I hate to admit it Tebow was great against Pittsburgh, easily his best game in the NFL, however, that overtime pass wasn't all that. The way ESPN are going on about it you would have thought it was a repeat of Unitas & the '58 Championship Game. Tebow didn't win that game in OT, Demaryius Thomas did. All Tebow did was hit a wide open receiver and people overreact. It was Thomas that broke the tackles that got the TD.

Tebow isn't a great QB and will never be one, personally I think he would make a great halfback as he's a good runner and would be a dual threat if the wildcat was played. The Broncos are looking for a future QB. The Denver Post has already stated that if Landry Jones or Matt Barkley had declared for the draft then the Broncos would have actively gone for them as they believe them to be franchise QBs. Tebow will be Denver's starting QB next season simply because there isn't any potential franchise QBs available to them.

LOL With my 1st post I wasnt aiming that at you or anyone on here pal. Happy that on a Spurs Forum we can talk NFL!
No my point was aimed at any one in and around media and those that feel that they can make a point without ever playing the game and just like to say Tebow this Tebow that and tbh none of us even know the guy
I am an avid college fan and have watched Tebows rise from being a Freshman at Florida to winning the Heismann as a Sophmore to his progress into the NFL
And if you asked me who should be QB at Denver I would say Brady Quinn  All I am saying is that Tebow proved alot of critics wrong Sunday. Simple

Sorry about that, it's just that Tebow has become a touchy subject for me since Sunday. I can't watch ESPN (it's showing either Tebow or Bama) and have had to leave facebook alone as the moment Thomas scored my wall was flooded with mates taking the piss.

As for Brady Quinn, you've got to feel sorry for the guy. He goes to Denver being told he will compete for the starting position then weeks later they draft Tebow. I think he's a free agent at the end of the season, so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up as a few teams will be looking for a QB. Thinking he might end up at the loser of the Matt Flynn fight between Seattle and Washington.

Yeah BQ must have been pissed:bang: Hasnt had a great start to his career and then for that to happen
Pleased for Flynn though. After following that "Bust"at LSU couldnt have been easy(Not a Fan of Hold Out players!) so pleased that he set the NFL alight the other week vs Lions
Sorry you lost the BCS the other Night but being an Irish fan I have enough problems. Again:oops:
Am a supporter of a Play Off system as I wanted Oklahoma St to have had a shot at you guys as,as soon as Bama was announced the TV companies must have thought Oh Fuck another Defensive Battle and so did I!!
But glad we are ok as I dont mind pissing peopple off after 2 posts but not 1:grin: COYS

Would Quinn be a good fit for the Raiders? Think they need to do some serious rebuilding in close season. Might have finished 8-8 but they were never a 8-8 team.
