Tebow brings the opposite of baggage. He is an amazing teammate, a hard worker, and is content sitting on the bench. Sure, if he sees the field, there will be more media attention than usual, but you're not in the NFL if you can't deal with pressure to begin with. The primary reason that Tebow is even garnering any attention from teams is that he has the attitude that a coach wants in the locker room.

The baggage he brings is the thousands upon thousands of evangelical Christians who treat him as the 2nd coming of Christ. These are the ones who put up all the billboards demanding that he be made the starting qb for the broncos even though the coaches had him as the 3rd string qb. In the end it was the pressure by this group that caused Fox and Elway to eventually go fuck it, we'll start him so you lot can shut up, but they were never sold on Tebow hence the reason that they went after Manning so badly. Only by getting one of the greatest QB's of all time could they shut the Tebow fan club up, you can't argue that Tebow is better than Manning.

As far as being a good team mate who's content to sit on the bench, do not underestimate his ambition. The other qb's in Denver didn't think he was that great a team mate when he was on the bench and the billboards were popping up all over denver.

Jim Driver, 1933-2012
Wednesday, March 21, 2012
James H. "Jim" Driver, 78, of Eagle, Colo., formerly of Columbia, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at South Hampton Place in Columbia after a brief illness. An avid Broncos fan, he abhorred Manning and evidently wanted out before a deal was done.

A service is planned for late May at Jim's favorite place on Earth, the "Big Rock" at Sylvan Lake's Yeoman Park in Eagle, Colo.

Intrested that with TT more than likely going to NYJ and Brady Quinn making the move to KC,who have the Broncos got as back up to Manning?
Will the Broncos look at the Up coming draft as a cover for Manning or in all the trading that is going on bring some one in?
Or have I missed the boat and Dever all ready have a full Back up?

Apparently he got $500,000 from the Jets for being there for a week and the Colts will only have to pay $650,000 for the rest of the season.

It wasn't evangelical Christians who made John Fox and Elway put in Tim Tebow. I know that's a fun storyline but those two men have been in the NFL a long time and if they responded to pressure from a group that knows eff all about football like that they would not be where they are now. They put Tebow in because the team looked totally flat behind Kyle Orton.

The NFL is 100% about winning, not Christians or billboards or shutting fan clubs up. The Broncos put Tebow in last year because they thought he gave them the best chance of winning, end of. Then, the opportunity to acquire Manning arose, and because they thought Manning then gave them the best chance of winning (and who wouldn't), they went out and got him.

Lastly, you are overstating the influence of fans on personnel decisions. Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn didn't judge Tim Tebow on how good a teammate he was when he saw a billboard that some fans bought. He judged that through hours in practice, in the locker room, and during games. He had his opportunity to cement a starting job and he didn't take it; Orton wouldn't be mad at Tebow for that.

Hayden Smith has agreed to a three-year deal with the New York Jets despite having never played American football in his life.

Antonio Gates was a basketball player and he's one of the best tight ends in the league.

Has anyone seen the new Nike jerseys? Pittsburgh's is exactly the same as the old Reebok ones and Seattle's makes my eyes hurt. Apparently each Seahawk season ticket comes with 10 games' worth of anti-nausea medication.

I think the Jaguars are supposed to be getting a total re-do of their look next year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals, Bengals, and Vikings all got new uniforms over the next two or three seasons as their designs are a.)conceived by Reebok and b.) absolutely horrible looking

I stayed up to watch it, glad there were so many trades or it might have been harder to stay awake!

Love NE being aggressive and moving up to take 2 good pass rushers.

Can't believe David DeCastro fell to the Steelers. Thought he was a pipe dream, literally the perfect player for them. Their biggest need, filled by the best guard prospect since Steve Hutchinson, projected as the 6th best player in the draft but falling to 24th without the Steelers even needing to trade up? Incredible.

The Steelers site I'm on was willing the Steelers to trade up for him when he dropped to 18. Instead he just fell into their lap. If they can get another guard like Brandon Brooks in Rd 2 and a NT like Josh Chapman in Rd 3, the Steelers will once again have had an incredible draft.

Very happy with the Steelers draft. I can see Alameda Ta'amu being our starting NT for the next decade and DeCastro, not only one of the steals of the draft, but also improves a big weakness. If Mike Adams gets his off-field issues sorted then we could have our best O-line since '04.

Sad news about Seau. RIP

Whilst I don't want to speculate on the death you can see why Goodell takes player safety so seriously nowadays
