Seems every time the Panthers look like getting somewhere, they bottle it and the Broncos get a break - excellent stuff!

Now why in the world would you try a run on 3rd and 17 from there?!

Runs, traditionally, are a much lower risk play than a long pass. You run there because if everything goes right then you pick up some positive yards (giving you better position to punt) or if you really hit it a 1st down. If it goes bad the odds of a turnover is lower and you still punt. Very low risk call.

I guess, although most of the turnovers tonight have been from runs, and there's not been much yardage from running it so far either so just seemed a bit of a waste.

Broncos nailing Newton again there though, he's just being taken right out of the game.

One of the Super Bowl ads.

Essentially what the NFL is saying is that Detroit and Cleveland have experienced population declines because the Lions and Browns are shit.

Broncos offense keeping the Panthers in the game. They'd be better off kneeling three times and punting.

If it was that Broncos play...it's because you risk it being picked off too close to your own end zone by trying to throw down field, which is what they would be expecting. So you run the ball, and hope to get a 1st down. If not, you don't turn it over and play safe by punting it away on 4th down.

I went to School with a lot of people born in March/April, 9 months after Ireland played at Italia 90, and they were known as Jack Charlton babies.

Yeah, it's about time for Peyton to hang up his boots I think. They don't look like putting any more points on the board at this stage, and if the Panthers can get it together for just one TD drive, that could be it.

He really does look a shadow of what he used to be, the years and injuries have all caught up now...

That turnover is a massive opportunity to try and close things out - surely even Manning can make a TD opportunity from here!
