Does the Levy fan club still think he is great and doing an amazing job? 🤣

If they still want him involved in football matters its because they are being stubborn now. Its becoming a joke month after month now, let alone year after year.

God I wish our last home game was this weekend instead of last weekend. The pressure would have been insufferable enough last week - but after today’s news it would have been something else.

Things will be ugly enough on the road, but when we inevitably stumble to a defeat I cannot imagine what the mood at board room level would be. I don’t know how people could find it tolerable being the target of that much malign.

Nope, wouldnt be much change. Too many ofour fanbase voice their disagreement online but on matchday they are lazy. Only a couple thousand voice their discontent and the others bankroll this with beers food and merch.

Compared to what Newcastle achieved with Ashley, United with Glazers now and even West Ham getting GSB to sell a larger stake, we are not very good at this sort of thing.

I'm confused how some think Levy is responsible for Slot being convinced by his current club, with whom he's just won a title and qualified for the Champions League, to stay on?

Because Slot clearly stated his desire to work in Prem league, he couldnt have made it more evident. Its now being seen that we refused to pay the extra compensation to prize him and his team away. Classic Levy.

Its time for him to walk away. 20m is Ndonbele's left leg and he wont pay it for the most important role at the club.

Where has it been said we have refused to pay the extra compensation?

Our last managerial search was a shit show where we clearly had no idea what we wanted. We interviewed loads of people and ended up with a dud.

Conte became interested within a few months. If he hadn't, I dread to think what a season of Nuno would have been like.

Do I particularly care about Slot not coming? No, and I really wanted him. But this is showing all the normal signs of our incompetence.

I understand that, but quotes from Slot himself said no talks had taken place, and even if they had, how do you convince a guy who's just won the league and qualified for the champs league to join a club in massive upheaval?

Come on fella, I know where you are coming from. But talks have 100% taken place.

If you really believe no talks have taken place, then why not given we've known Conte was leaving since November?

I don't know, my post, and point, says nothing about any unhappiness at not convincing him to join us.

I believe we did really want him. If it doesn't come off, so be it.

My point is that I don't believe the board really know what attributes they want from a manager.

We're just going to approach a bunch of randoms and make a decision with no logic behind it.

Not saying I believe it, as I said, if they have, how do you convince someone to leave their own title winning, champions league qualifying club, to come to Spurs right now? Whilst I'm firmly in the Levy GTFO out of the football side of my club, I think sometimes we're all a bit quick to damn him for somethings that might not be entirely down to him!

When it comes to rating the chairman, I think you have to look at the bigger picture.

We don't know the details of every single deal. There's already the, almost certainly incorrect, narrative going round that it's because we wouldn't pay the release clause.

Do I trust the thought process behind the managerial hiring strategy, our player recruitment, etc? No.

That's what I look to, over individual deals.
