Chairmans message really annoyed me, was expecting a little humble and contrite but fuck all, I don't even think he thinks he is doing anything wrong so how is it going to change

New manager, new COF, we've placed a new structure, prior to the dof leaving.

I keep hearing that it's a ll Levy and him being a dictator, yet the itk us saying differently.

It's probably more me being hopeful.
Hopeful is the best way to be pal.

I do think this season has been the nadir but things are being put in place to rectify and move us forward again.

It’s the hope that kills! He looked genuinely upset in the stands so as you say hopefully things are behind put in place

Clean sweep from the owners right on down to whatever replaced the position of boot boys is needed.

But that's not going to happen. Just got to hope for a few seasons of decent football set against the usual backdrop of mild dysfunction on the footballing side of things before it all goes tits up again.

Why are some of you getting increasingly angry about these performances? We all know these losses are irrelevant, we need to ride this out until the end of the season, bring int he new manager and start again. Id be concerned if we had a new manager in and these were the performances. I dont mind the defeat - dont want Europe. We need to reset and start again.

Getting a bit tiresome that some are repeatedly desperate for others to have a go at Levy on their behalf. If you dont like it - go to WHL and have a go standing outside yourself.Go to the ground and shove a balloon or two in his face. No point in bringing it up on here having a go at people for going.

When we get this new manager in we cant be having this shite hanging over us in the stands... ill be the first to have a go at Levy and the Board if we dont see progress in our squad and footballing operations but right now, I am prepared to give this all a clean slate. We cant be talking about bringing in Slot or whoever and have this bullshit negativity filter onto the pitch and squad. Just wont work.

He did literally say that the last few seasons footballing decisions haven’t produced what they wanted, that they’ve had an extensive review of this and that moving forward they’d look to rectify this and give us football we will enjoy coming to watch.

Im as frustrated with Levy’s poor decisions and leadership on the football side as much as the next person but the chairman’s message was fine but as always actions speak louder than words, he previously said after Jose that they were acutely aware of the need to return to our DNA of attacking football then he ended up letting his hire Paratici overrule him on fonseca, we end up with nearly gattuso then Nuno then conte, at the end of the day it’s all happened on his watch.

Levy is an overthinker and a slow learner, if Munn makes a difference and if we hire Slot and a good DofF to support him and let those 2/3 rip up this squad and start again then over time the heat and noise against levy should disappear and the focus should hopefully end up fully behind the team in a united way.

However that is assuming he ends up making good calls on the Manager Jose importantly and then on a DofF and then on the squad management and overhaul this summer.

Let’s see…

A leopard doesn’t usually change its spots but in this case I do think Levy will have learnt his lesson and given the final 3 manager candidates it does seem the case but getting the right manager in is only step 1… the key then is giving them and the DofF full control to reshape this squad to suit the new vision and plan.

🤞

This man's dithering cost us Europe altogether. We play shit football and we will probably get told that we have a talented bunch, which means alot of the same shit minus Kane.

The route to the CL final and FA cup final this year was so easy for us, yet even then we found a way to mess it up. Even the top 4 was do-able from the position we were in, but we opted to go for Mr 100% win record over like 3 career games.

If Levy cared about Spurs, he'd sell up and would recommend Lewis to do the same.

They have future proofed us with the stadium which was nice of them, maybe we can name one of the streets near High Road after levy's name as no doubt bringing an additional 30k fans per game has had a positive impact to the community. Maybe one of the buildings in the training could be named after him too. This is his legacy and he deserves recognition for this aspect.

People say he is great at the commercial aspects and personally that is questionable for me. Spurs were one of the richest clubs in England before ENIC took over as Sugar did a solid job stabilising the finance side. The broadcasting revenue in UK and now abroad has gone through the roof, so almost by default we are still rich.

Spurs had a rich history in the cups before ENIC took over, we were the record holders for FA Cup wins but now down to fifth. We always had one of the biggest fan bases in England, easily 4th and probably still the 4th. So no real improvement there either. The 90s was regarded as bad decade but we won more trophies in that decade than we have in the last 2.

Levy/ENiC have set a sub-standard culture in the club, get top 4, maybe a cup. There is no ambition or belief. There is just excuses and a defeatist attitude. Yes Chelsea and City have been a problem but no Spurs fan is asking or demanding we have their levels of success.

Genuinely baffled as to how people can still defend 1 trophy in 20 years. They just need to sell up. The chelsea situation and even Man U's has shown there are plenty of people out there with interest to buy clubs.

When you take the Mrs to a game and she’s clearly wearing a straight jacket, you know it’s bad.

Yeah it came as a shock to me too.

After 23 years I thought he would change.

I'm sure it will be different next year though.

I wish more people could realise all of the above. People remember the 90s like it was the whole of our history, but we were a club synonymous with winning trophies prior to this and we were only bad really from the mid 90s onwards anyway!
ENIC saw the value and potential of Spurs. They knew they were not buying a mid table club in name, history and fan base.
IMO we have spent the money recently, but it’s Levy’s insistence on the sort of player and the budget available per player that has hindered us. We buy players they very few, if any, other big teams are interested in, then wonder why we can’t compete.

God you’re optimististic, I just see this as Levy standing at the craps table in a casino, blowing on the dice before he takes yet another roll.
We have no strategy, it’s just blind luck.

Mate, he sacked our best manager in decades after a CL final for an Amazon documentary, furloughed the club staff, and signed us up to the ESL. Don't forget if he'd had his way we'd be Stratford Hotspur as well. He couldn't give a fuck about the football.
