When it comes to assessing whether or not things are changing, I think what we spend the money on and in what way it happens is more important than how much is spent. For example, 30m on a CB the manager wants would not be the same as 30m on an opportunistic signing in a position of less need.

Haha 22 years and now Archibald is saying give them time, he’s been broken… ENICs life story with us has been let’s wait and see, always next year, futures bright, this excuse, that excuse, full of ‘game changing’ 🥕🥕🥕 to come. With Maddison you are acting like a pack of cheap tarts, all very predictable for them as they aim to get their Euro income back and appease the majority. He’s struck gold with you lot…
Opinions. I fully respect freedom of expression on a message board. But I just don’t understand why anyone has to be this hostile and disparaging to some members. Can’t the same point be made without taking aim at the judgment of others? I get the frustration with ENIC. And how it can make the blood boil. But surely it can be expressed more constructively and respectfully? Without the searing generalizations.

Then again, i apologize if I misconstrued the intent and it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

🤷‍♂️

He’s so thick skinned, and if he can read a room then he can only be completely fkin heartless. There are so many ordinary working class Spurs families being priced out, or made to struggle in todays climate to accommodate the passion of going to watch our team play.

After presiding over a steady five year decline, on the field, he then shafts the fan base again in this totally avoidable, downright greedy manner- just to fatten the calf even more.

Shameless.

I agree. And i also don’t understand the need of some of the board members to use the ‘laughing’ emoticon on posts like this. It’s childish. If you’re doing it then you are part of the problem. This poster has written a perfectly valid and balanced post and your best response is to laugh. If it’s you, I suggest being more considerate before choosing your emotive response.

Just respect that people are going to have different opinions. If you don’t agree, just debate the point. No need to gaslight by laughing.

I fully expect this post to be laughed at now, because someone thinks that’ll be really funny. Well done.

People giving Levy the benefit of the doubt for spending a few quid every once in a while before he screws them over again.
It's pretty inexcusable to be increasing ticket prices

People are suffering financially as it is

We've had 3 years of being served up absolutely guff football

And we already had some of the highest prices in world football

James Maddison is a good signing...but Levy is still targeting the wealthy football tourists over longer-term Spurs fans

And it's only going to keep getting worse on that front

If people are getting wound up like a tight coil over an emoticon then perhaps they should leave the forum alone for a while. There's more in life to be pissed off about tbh.

Although I agree in theory, it's people who are the problem. They (enic) can continue to raise prices because people are stupid enough to pay them.

How much were the tickets last year? How much now is it to watch spurs? Even on a budget I imagine it's over 100 quid (including transport and food) per person.

And considering the quality of football on show last season, it's less stupidity and more insanity.

Yet people continue to go.

As for the 'working class', well if they can afford to pay the ridiculous gas and electric prices and cover a new mortgage rate of 6.5% and even consider being able to go to any premier league football game on a regular basis then I think they are not working class.

Whether you like it or not, most PL football (especially in London) is not for the working class and hasn't been for a while now.

Let's take a family of four who have season tickets at spurs and go every game. That's got to be what, 5k a year on football?. That's obscene, I cannot imagine any working class family having that much disposable income. By definition, they wouldn’t be working class.

PL football is for the richer folks and tourists and has been for ages, it will continue to go up.

Well yeah, football has changed a lot, but people still don’t have to be happy about supporting pretty much the worst offending club in terms of shamelessly hitting fans in the wallet…

It's a supply and demand situation. While the ground is full every game the demand dictates that there's a healthy market for tickets at whatever price. Whether those tickets go to devoted fans or day trippers is completely irrelevant in a commercial sense, and football is all about money for those at the top of the tree. Nobody has to go. I stopped going to matches years ago and couldn't go now even if I wanted to. Life can be a bitch, but watching football is very low priority in the overall scheme of things.

If the FAB meet with the board tomorrow and discuss ticket prices with them, and the club do a u-turn of sorts, you won’t be able to convince me that the board planned all of this to convince us that the FAB can make a difference. Despite their obvious connection with Thunderbird puppets. The amount of people talking about not going to games this season. The solitary method of protest that fans think they have, and the ultimate prize for Levy who has no interest in having the ‘Legacy fans’ there. This battle is well and truly lost. I really hope we at least have something on the pitch to enjoy, because it’ll be another 12 months of misery off it.
