i mean Bayern had to also participate
There should have been a deadline much earlier than this. I didn't want Kane to go but to leave it this late is just wildly irresponsible.

Ange has got to replace 30+ goals and assists over the season with realistically a very similar team from last season.

Do I see Levy making a statement signing or using all the money? No.....

To summarise:
1. We are 2 days away from our first game.
2. We have just sold our greatest ever goal scorer.
3. We have only signed one centre back for a team that conceded over 60 goals last season.
4. It is rumoured that Richarlison is injured and therefore we have no direct replacement.
5. We have a massive squad that Levy will demand big money for the players who are no longer required.

This is all down to not having a proper football operation in place and having a bean counter in charge. There is no joy in having the best wage to revenue ratios and a nice pretty stadium if there is no intention to build upon it. Levy has let us all down here.

The biggest concern I have is how Ange is going to keep the players happy playing one game a week and where in mid table we will finish.

This clubs just sucks the life out of you.

how will he spin this, i wonder
He won’t bother. He’s not a leader, never was.

if he was any good, he’d have surrounded himself with people that are good at the things that he’s not good at. The problem is he thinks he’s better than he is.

That’s the sign of a very poor leader in any business

So under ENIC/Levy the club are never going to compete or even try to compete with City, Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Chelsea and they are just about investing enough that we hopefully finish above the other 14 league teams.
It's depressing isn't it - but majority of fans seem happy.

honestly building a really solid squad ATM, one CB away from being legit contenders. Kane leaving screws that but hey, he wanted to go play in Germany
Contenders! For what? We’ve bought a decent playmaker that none of the top clubs wanted and a couple of prospects. Kane is the best striker in the world and he’s waited long enough for us to get our act togeather.

The sale of Kane is effectively proof that, on the football side of things, Levy has failed.

He judges managers on whether they bring success to the club.

Harry leaving highlights that we are not deemed a success.

If he had a boss he'd be rightly sacked.

You are deluding yourself. ENIC out isn't even a majority view and once the team starts playing well under Ange it will fade away again.

that last one if a big IF, especially if he isn’t backed. Losing Kane will stir the hornets nest more than anything before.

Reports coming out Tottenham have blocked him from leaving to Munich…..
If this now falls through, that should be Levy’s job. Today. He should not finish the day as Chairman anyway with how awful he is but this one should be it. He’ll have zero credibility left to any club, fan or Kane. I wouldnt begrudge Kane for refusing to play for us again after that. He would quite simply need to be forced out. Lewis would need to appint his daughter immediately & start moving towards a sale of the club to be completed by January.

Odds on our statement signing to placate the fans will be the wrong kind of statement but one every spurs fan is expecting. Sigh.

For the first time in a long time I really have a negative sentiment towards the club (levy). You could say maybe I have had blinders on or whatever, but you just have to look at it with no bias & i think losing Kane has done that to me. Also liverpool signing Caicedo for 110M this morning. We have no interest in really competing, just being close enough that we might compete to get the most money.

Just this summer:

1. Didnt sign Raya, went for a cheaper easier deal and now Arsenal have taken him on an extremely good deal. Wait and see what happens with Vicario but there is certainly a probability that he becomes another player we cant sell in a year or 2. We are perennial bargain bin hunters & that shows in our squad and results.
2. Still refuses to admit several players are not good enough & sell them at a loss. Inhibiting any growth
3. How is hugo lloris still at spurs. Please just agree to cancel his contract and let him find a team he wants, he has been a great servant and deserves that.
4. Put ticket prices up
5. Agree to sell Kane and now is blocking him flying. Is his goal always to piss as many people off, that is really good in this business.

The positive vibes from preseason and ange are just about gone as we head into the weekend with no striker over 19 years old. I feel sorry for Ange because I think he will/could be great. But not with this ownership, going to have to just live with the fact that the highlights of spurs going forward are just going to be some decent league results some weeks & some cup runs. I dont really see how we are better than a top half table club

Amazed how anyone can disagree with your post. They are all correct facts.

We will never see the like of Kane at the club again. Not in our lifetimes. Levy built a stadium fit for the best striker in the world. Trouble is, a stadium means nothing if the team it was built for is sub-standard. Levy out. He has failed.
