We'd probably need someone "on the inside" to help but with all these fan TIFOs, it'd be great if we swapped some bits of paper around and manager a "To Dare is Too Dear" or "Levy Out". Just imagine the leg pats he'd get after that!

Not saying that won’t happen, but it only works visually if we make significant additions in other areas, spread the Kane cash to other key areas, as Liverpool did by bringing in Alisson and VVD when they sold Coutinho. To carry that off, we’d need to add a too quality CB, WF/winger and maybe another CM if Hojbjerg also goes, then a young striker of potential. If we don’t make any real further first team starter level additions, then we haven’t strengthened at all, we have weakened, whilst majority of our rivals for CL qualification have added genuine first team calibre improvements to their squad.
Eg
Kane and Hojbjerg out,
Tapsoba, Douglas Luiz, Kudos and Orban in.
Then you could argue we have spread the Kane money to other areas of the squad, making the unit as a whole more able to cover the loss than like for like individual.
We haven’t strengthened for 5 or 6 seasons - nothing I’ve seen recently tells me we’ll be better this season than last. As has been the case for years…

But Levy will still come out with nonsense, most will buy into it or swallow it and we’ll continue to go round & round

As much as I don’t like levy I don’t think that is true

our recruitment since Paratici joined has been decent

the issue in my mind is we have strengthened but at a gentle pace as if we had a good squad

when the reality is we needed major surgery

the damage is still really being felt from the Poch/Hitchen/Jose era signings

I think Ange is still pinching himself to be in this role and wouldnt want to do anything to rock the boat as it were which call me cynical is probably a big tick on his interview sheet when applying for the role.
True

and he seems the sort to just get in with things rather than kick off

So now arsenal have timber out for the remainder of the season they are looking at Bayern Munich for Pavard. This is something I could never see levy doing if we got an injured player, and the difference between us and arsenal now. Honestly I won’t be that shocked if there are no new signings before the window shuts. I’ve seen this all before.
We've not even put in a serious bid for a Kane replacement yet, agree that there's fucking zero chance the little bald **** would sign up a player if he was just injured.

I'm fucking astonished it's been a week and there's no obvious sign of us looking to target players with the Kane money.

We’ve need major surgery for years & years - poor buys have compounded matters

Gentle squad building doesn’t bring home any bacon when the pig isn’t fat enough to start with!

I don’t blame everything on levy! Just alot.

Let’s face if we have a lot of dross that is hard to move on due to the serious wages which hardly any other clubs can afford. This is why they are happy to sit around and not kick up a stink.

Any itk on what building project Levy is spending the Kane money on? Will they be the best go karts the world has ever seen or will the hotel have gold plated lifts and escalators.

Quite clear we're not spending it on the squad. So glad we pushed to see off Kane instead of keeping him and letting him go for free.

A CB, WF and ST need to be signed before the end of the window all of decent quality, no ‘we tried’ last minute or other excuses, get a few more out the next week or so and then pull the trigger on the 3 positions we desperately still need to give Ange everything he needs and finally for once not leave a manager short in multiple positions.
I foresee some incoming knee pats on Saturday, perhaps the pats will be hard enough to dislodge the wallet in his pocket…

still a hotel and housing development to come at least, should help increase our profits so we can… 😂

It's fairly simple really. Those that Ange says doesn't fit/want, the club tells the players and agents to go and find another club because they won't be getting any minutes. Certainly focus their minds.
Obviously the little bald chap needs to back Ange and cut losses in the short term and realise the longer term benefit.

Part of the problem is Levy sanctioning deals on his own accord. Players like Spence, who was a him signing (Accordingly to a lot of ITKs).

This might be isolated to a handful of signings, but it still strengthens the argument and agenda against him when we’re now struggling to get rid of said players and it’s inhibiting our inbound signings that we desperately need.

With this said, we can afford a bloated squad for a short period. Say we’ve got 10 players we want out, on an average of 70,000 a week that’s £36.4m.

the revenue opportunity of finishing on Europe massively outweighs the cost of doing nothing to strengthen the squad further. 3 players on £100,000 each plus transfer fee isn’t going to break our bank.

We could build an argument of squad dynamics and the difficulty of managing an over bloated squad, but then selling these players at below club valuation counters this to free up space.

It’s clear to me this is all about accounting and keeping the books favourable for a potential sale OR we are being hindered by stadium debt in a way I haven’t yet researched.

I am on my break at work right now but wanted to share this as I listened to it earlier.

Two really impressive smart, dedicated women fighting for us and some of the stuff they say is really eye opening.

I hope the protestors keep it outside the ground and don't negatively affect the atmosphere in the stadium. We need to get the place rocking today. COYS!

They make some good points but should check their facts , one of the women said "Gate receipts are tiny compared to other revenue" , not so according to Deloitte money league their figures show matchday revenue of £107 mill which is 24% of the total revenue of £442 mil .

Gate receipts and match day revenue are two separate things. Either way though, it is wrong to say it is “tiny”. It just isn’t the main income as it used to be in the old days.

I Heard Newcastle are in for Tapsoba and if this true, and they get him. Surely Levy has ran out of cards to play?
Eddie Howe seemed quite genuine when he said they were all done with signings after getting Hall. Also fits with what I’ve heard about them being very conscious of FFP .

They can't be that separate , just a simple calculation gives some idea of money coming in from ticket sales.
Disregarding the premium price tickets, average general admission ticket price at a Cat A game is around £80 if 50,000 are paying that price it brings in £4 million, it's guesswork without knowing the proportion of senior citizens and juniors tickets sold but in many parts of the stadium they are not available so a large proportion of the crowd are paying full price.

PS and the official accounts do specify that matchday receipts of £106.1 million excludes merchandise. i.e Spurs shop.

match ticket prices are too high but then so are players wages in todays football world.
Spurs 1981 FA Cup year, wage bill for players and staff £1.6 million, 1991 FA Cup year wage bill £4.9 million, wage bill 2022 ( no cups ) for players and staff £205 million.
