Yes, but what happens if Chelsea win the Champions League, Manchester United finish 5th in the EPL but win the Europa, and West ham win the Conference League? Do we still get Champions League football if we finish 4th?
Is it that time of the year yet?

Tbf, he was responding to a post suggesting those matches would be "less tricky". I took it as a suggestion that we not get too far ahead of ourselves, which is fair enough.
Oh I was getting far ahead of myself. I was merely pointing out what we need to do.

We need to pick up enough wins in those 6 games to get some momentum.

If we dont, we will be really fighting for it and give Liverpool hope.

Found my next hairstyle..

I don't mind the odd negativity or being a little pessimistic going into games, it's just constant prior to every game regardless of whether we're on a winning run or not (by the same people).

And even when they do praise a player or something there is a slight negative included. It's just gotten tiresome to read these days when we are nowhere near as bad as they would have you believe.

Is Levy that tight on wages though , don't know if you can trust these websites but five players on over £9,000,000 doesn't sound tight to me , compared to the other mob we have some pretty wealthy players.
Lower I know than Man U or City but their income is much higher at the moment.

Doesn’t sound tight, no it sounds absolute rubbish. These websites have no more idea than we do.
Son and Kane I would say on top money. Apparently Perisic is on a bucket of money as he was a free transfer and just a two year contract.
it is common knowledge that Daniel has them all on incentivised contracts. They say Tanguy is on 200k a week. Takes some believing but if true he would have to be playimg every week and we would have to be doing well for it to happen.
in the last results our wages to turnover was 47% . Even when when carrying 6 out on loan who should have been sold but Daniel won’t take a big loss on them .
michael Brown was on Sky a couple of years ago discussing how we work the contracts. He said Levy was very fair with him when he had personal problems. His contract stated that if he came on as sub before 66mins he was paid X and after 66 mins he was paid Y. Just shows how detailed some of the c9ntracts wil” be. I would think Harry will be looking at 350 if he signs another contract. Worth every penny.

I honestly can say I could not care less if we finish in the top 4. At least if we’re in the Europa league or whatever the other one is we have a chance of winning the poxy thing. We have no chance in the champions league.

You honestly think we’d put out a first team in the Europa league? We never did when Jol and Harry were in charge, the club doesn’t give a monkeys about cups unless it’s CL!

You know not too long ago I would've called you mad for that but I completely get it now. The novelty of CL football has worn off...what's the point? Bit of excitmenet hearing the champions league theme on a Tuesday night but we're not winning it.

In the past, it signalled progress, movement in the right direction, movement towards winning things. Like you say at least with Europa we might actually win something. Can only imagine what goes through Kane's head some of the time.

That explains a lot of the (far too) late substitutions we've made over the years!

The race for 4th is still on, before Wednesday it wasn't my priority but we sacked off the cup so we might as well give it everything.
I know we're still in the CL but let's be realistic.
We've been unlucky losing the players we have out to injury but we have to try to do the best we can do which is why I'm not going down the can't be arsed route.
End of the season the only difference between arsenal and us could be just two league places.
Don't run away with the idea I'm not pissed off, I am, Wednesday done me but I won't excuse giving up.

As if anyone thinks we could win the Europa? Based on what? Winning it 39 years ago? Were not building a squad to win trophies under this owner. Top 4 is the best we can hope for so should get used to being excited by it.

we have no chance in the europa either. We've been in it countless times and never got far.

These gutless players think they're too good anyway

We wouldn't have a chance in the Audi Cup with these players Their mentality is so weak.

They're allowed to think like that because the club sets that acceptance.

Id love to win EL, it would be incredible

The problem with the EL is that we rotate and as a result see regular performances like Wednesdays debacle. We just about sneak past teams at home but constantly do nothing away from home against Europe’s minnows. It would be a great competition to win, but we just never seem to be up for it. As someone said above, some of our players believe they’re above the competition - it’s a nonsense.

In the words of the Manic Street Preachers, top 4 alone is not enough, not enough, not enough
