A draw against the Scum isn't enough for us. If we draw against them it leaves us needing a result either away at Liverpool or away at Chelsea and we have done very very badly at both of those grounds over the years.

We have to win our four home games. If we do that then we'll be in with a shout.

What are you expecting City to do TSH?

Agree, maximum points from our home games is needed IMO or its not going to happen.

What are you expecting City to do?

Liverpool could easily win all their remaining games too. it's gonna be close.

Nope.

I really believe we will get something from Anfield this season.
I think we could get something from Stamford.
I believe we will get something from at least one of these games.

It's going to be tough getting that 4th spot our strikers need to get shooting boots on. I hope Defoe just goes on a blitz.

If we pick up 3 wins against the lower teams then that should be enough assuming we beat City.

Liverpool would have to win every one of their remaining games this season to even have a chance.

Can someone please explain to me where all this "Liverpool are just hitting form" stuff is coming from?

Yes they had a great result against City but if anyone actually watched the game you could clearly see that rather than Liverpool being really in form City were just plain awful. Also that is one result, ONE, since Kenny took over it has been a mixed bag which I expect it to continue to be.

What are you expecting City to do TSH?

Blackburn (a) - At worst a draw. I don't think Blackburn have won in 9 games in all competitions.

West Ham (h) - Easy win

Everton (a) - They could lose this one. Apart from us it's their hardest game remaining.

Spurs (h) - Draw

Stoke (h) - Easy win. Stoke will either have nothing to play for or a cup final to concentrate on.

Bolton (a) - Also a win (same as with Stoke).

Yes City won't be the same without Tevez but even so they've got a pretty easy run in, certainly compared to ours. I reckon that they'll get a minimum of 10 points from those games.

That means we need to get 14 points from our last 7 games. If we don't get 12 points from our home games then that's unlikely to happen.

I would be very surprised if City beat Everton and Bolton. Also I think West Ham will give them a decent game as they are fighting for their lives.

I give you an absolute personal guarantee that no matter what happens it won't be this.

God that makes depressing reading. You're probably right as well.

We can't afford any slip-ups at all. The home games are crucial, so I guess it's do or die against Arsenal.

Next two games are crucial
April 20 - v Arsenal (h)
April 23 - v West Brom (h)

If we win both these games we will be 3points clear of city who play

April 25 - v Blakburn (a)

Yep, they don't get any bigger. We have to remember that West Brom are on fire with Roy in charge.

The lads need to pick themselves up and focus on getting back to the CL next season.

Has anyone read my post about City's remaining games? Or do you all just believe the hype?

There's no 'hype'. City's run in is easier than ours and they a three point advantage and a large goal difference advantage as it is.

Those are the facts whichever way anyone spins them.

Too much analysis on all this tbh.

City on paper have an easier run in. We need to perform at a higher level than they do over the next 2 months.

But we're going to ignore their away form, and the way other teams might be fighting for points?

Is their away form made up?

True, maybe their away from needs to be factored in, but then again, Stoke hadn't scored in 5 away games up until ours.....
