Losing and finishing below both Arsenal and WHU would have been disheartening. I would have been devastated and reflecting on the worse of the season if we hadn't. Staying above Arsenal (not in Europe) and knocking LC out of he CL was very satisfying and finished off the season with some achievement. There is a feel of hope for me, now Jose has gone hopefully a new messiah will get us back on track.

I voted fourth before a ball was kicked and I stand by the fact we should have got that as a minimum. The squad could have too had they not been so passive in games once ahead and missed great chances to finish games off.

We dropped an unbelievable amount of points from winning positions as we all know. But if we get a good manager in to iron out those mistakes and move people on then I think (if we keep Kane) we will surprise a few people next season and not be too far off top four again.

It all depends on the transfer window though. I would say it is our most important one since arnesen came in and made all those changes and set the club on a different course. We don’t need anyone that revolutionary but we need a good window to get at least two starting XI players in at centre back and central midfield. Also strengthening the squad further with another centre back and central midfielder. It really shouldn’t be that hard to improve on what we have.
