Never though I'd ever see a thread called the "race to the title" in Spurs Chat.........ever......or at least not in my lifetime........kind of nice :)

I know, crazy. I see it over on RAWK every single season but never on here, it's refreshing and what's even better is we aren't deluded in thinking it...unlike the dippers.

I feel like an old bugger, I think spurs have added at least another 20 years on my physical and mental health, hopefully as my son grows up he gets to see more of this spurs rather than the torment we have had to endure over the years (to be fair there has been some amazing times as well lol)

Also please tell me you don't wear those jeans still...

80's jeans will never go out of style

This weekend could be hugely pivotal - if we beat City and Leicester don't win at the Emirates. A big if of course but its certainly possible.

If that happens things will get very interesting. And as others have pointed out, the teams scrapping it out at at the bottom will sit back against leicester so I'm sure they'll face frustrating periods for long spells in some of these games, its just inevitable now - and their strength is defending and counter attacking.

If we could beat City away and Arsenal at home, our chances of winning the title would really increase.

I can't disagree with you mate, the 80's was the best decade, sometimes wish I was born in the 60's so I could really appreciate the 80's. I think the most I remember from the 80's is shitting my pants and possibly picking bogeys out of my nose.

Not much has changed to be fair.

Fine pair of Pepe jeans, still look good, tight but good

I had the joy of some great cup wins in the 80's that somehow made the mediocrity of the next 20 years more unbearable.

The fact is, we're all too scared to admit that we might just win it, because as good as it's been so far, this season has the potential to emotionally scar us more than any in our lives.

Fortunately, typing shit on a forum probably won't alter the course of history.

Just spent the last 90 minutes on a flight from DC to Boston, reading the Poch/Manager thread and this thread, and it's starting to sink in now. We're in a title race and we're a goddamn good side.

It's f**king bonkers...

Spurs fans really confuse me.

Loads seem desperate for Leicester to beat Arsenal. And everyone in the Bell and Hare on Saturday was cheering Leicester's goals. The best result is always a draw if two of our rivals play each other.

For this one we have to prey for a draw between Leicester and the goonies
Would put us 2 above them and superior goal difference and 1 behind Leicester if we win that is wich isn't a gimme in any way shape or form

3 behind Leicester if they draw and we win.

I really, really hope we can continue this push but I keep thinking back to 11/12. After 25 games we had 53 points (the same as Leicester now) and had only lost 4 games all year, we were nailed on for 3rd and the press were calling us the dark horse title challengers...We'd just thumped Newcastle 5-0 and were the most entertaining team in the land..and then the wheels fell off..lost 5-2 to the Goons and only won 4 more games for the year. I'm not saying that will happen this year...unless Poch gets his head turned by United or something..but that team looked SO good for the first 2/3 of the season...Bale, Modric, VDV ...great individual players. I think we are a better team overall now but we had world class players back then and still screwed it up.......having said that, IF we get a result against Man City and The Arse...then I will definitely be on the bandwagon!
