Of course I have, I fucking cringe at it every time I do hear it. You get 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and fuck all if you lose.
If you're playing a direct league rival, gaining 3 points for a win and denying them 3 points is a 6 point swing.

Perfect example being us losing to Leicester. We sit 5 points behind them after that loss. Had we won that one game and got 3 points for it we would be ahead of them.

It's a six-pointer because the possible results allow a six point swing in the relative positions of the two clubs involved. So there.

Like every true Spurs fan, I'm incredibly excited about what's happening at THFC right now and I hardly dare to imagine what would happen if we actually went on to win the Premiership. If nothing else, it would kill a whole bunch of gooners, wet spammers and plastic Chelsea fans, but apart from such delicious thoughts as those, it would bring us more joy than anything we'd ever done before, to be crowned the best team in the country.

This is a massive weekend for us, make no mistake. We haven't lost an away league match since day one, six months ago (and that was travesty too) so we go into the match with City as favourites.

Can we beat them...hell yes, we can. The job Pochettino has done with the squad cannot be over-stated and it's still very much a 'work in progress' so what we're going to be like if the current rate of progress continues by the time we move in to our new stadium, Lord only knows.

Time to stick my neck out. We are going to win on Sunday by 2-1.

not that I'm superstitious or anything but our last away defeat was as good as in Manchester, that was 13 league games ago

So City get -3 and Spurs get +3 if Spurs win ?
I hope you are simply trying to provoke, and not actually thinking in so narrow minded terms. Winning a match against a close rival comes with the added effect of the rival not gaining points that round. A type of dynamics commonly referred to as "six points".

I don't really buy this idea of "There's no pressure of expectation on us", either from Spurs or from Leicester. There is. Both teams are in the chase, and it can't be possible for the players & staff at either club not to feel it, just the same as Arse and City.

They broadcast (ie, commentary) every PL game. No exceptions from what I know.
Only online...on the radio they're limited as they don't have exclusive rights...they do most of them, but not all.

It comes down to a mentality thing. I know from experience that it is possible to not "feel it" (feel pressure) when it matters most. There is this extra dimensional mentality that the human mind can stray into in moments which demands a severe performance level. You end up not feeling stressed or pressured, but excited and happy. I'm not saying I know the mentality of this specific Spurs group, but it is possible to hit that mental zone in which what could have been pressure simply feels like something different. Almost a high of sorts — but not in a bad way.

Kompany news could be a blessing in disguise for us. If our players had any complacency going into game , thinking it was easy, this news should be a wake up call. May be help them focus more on the task ahead.

Maybe they'll do an Arsenal? Rushing a player back from injury, only to injure him even more.

They did rush him back for Sunderland game last time. He lasted 9 min & out for 7 games. I am sure, City would be extra careful this time. But still, this should surely playing on his mind

They did that last time, I think he will play but don't know if he'll be able to cope with the match. Would be a bit foolish to play him but it's a massive match so maybe it's worth the risk.

looking at the table for that season, (not a clue how GA was worked out) we would of needed to beat them on 1 and draw the other to of created back to back doubles. a bit before my time wasn't born till 64

We lost our home game against Ipswich by 3-1. Quoting from an article in the paper: "If we had defeated Ipswich 1-0 at home we would have one the title by one-hundredth of a goal."

Goal average was calculated by dividing the total number of goals scored by the numer conceded.
