I hope our players still give everything in the matches as we still need to secure CL- preferably automatic qualification.

Our players aren't on the same performance enhancers as Leicesters players are.

That's pretty much what it comes down to.

I'm clinging to this:

Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

It ain't over until the fat lady says it's mathematically impossible. Only then will I recognise my pathetic, deluded state.

Fair play to them, they have been the most consistent team in the league. We are not going to win every game from now till the end of the season so they would have to drop a huge number of points. Not going to happen.
That keeps being bandied about.

Consistent how? Getting points yeah, style, deffo not.

The first half of the season they scored loads and conceded loads and were 3rd 4th.

They've since scored 18 goals in 15 games and 4 absolute mugs have become an incredible back 4.

They rely on 4-5 chances a game and they are cut throat when they get them. And that key point is the difference.

Hate to say it when we have signed 2 star players in Toby and Alli, but the 35 mil we wasted on youthful forwards instead of class, has cost is the league. Spend that on a well scouted good forward and we piss this league.

For years our transfer policy has hindered our top 4 ambitions and now it has cost us the league.

I love poch, I love the players, but Im still so glad I invested in a Kodi box rather than line Enic's pockets again this year.

I was in the departure lounge at Bangkok airport back in October and came across the prominent Leicester City club shop there. I couldn't quite get my head around finding such a little crappy club having a place in such a beautiful building in an exotic country and frankly I laughed my tits off. The football gods have had their revenge on me and I humbly have to concede that the crappy little club are running away with the title. I don't know if its inspiring or gutting.

Well done LCFC and their Thai owners...relentless football.

It's a shame but if we are being honest up until now we've not been deserving of the tag of champions.

We've not produced results when it's mattered whilst Leicester have.

Sky must be a bit gutted that the title race isn't really much of a race. Will take a monumental collapse from Leicester now

Gotta be doing something real nifty over the summer. Next season at least 1-2 of Liverpool, Chelsea, City, United and Arsenal will be directly involved in the title race again, a season like this won't happen easily again for a while.

Thats the thing all the Big boys will be back in town next year spending big dollars, this was our chance but its not to be.

Having seen anti-football Leicester today they are quite capable of losing 3 games. The real mystery is how they have managed to get in this position. We must not give up.

Ahhhhh well, it was a nice dream while it lasted. Of course its still not over, but its very very unlikely now. I'd have grabbed a top four finish with absolute relish if it had been offered at the start of the season and there's still very much to play for. Finishing above the scum for a start. Personally I don't think we'll even manage that now, they seem to be on one of their usual rolls and with Villa at home as their final game its the mother of all their usual last day gimmes.

I think we're seeing a massive change in the order of things and although yeah, one or two of those clubs will come again it is no longer a closed shop certainty as to who finishes in the top 4 and the only question was in what order any more and our league is all the better for it. IMO. Of course. :D
I don't disagree, but I feel we are a few (Very few) nifty moves away from being a natural long term top 4 team. I think it's within our reach, but we can't take it for granted at this point and get too complacent. It would be massive to be among the best PL teams next season, and I can only assume that we will achieve that, but we need the last pieces in my view.

All that matters going forward is that we finish in the top 3. Finishing 4th, given where we were, would be a disaster, all things considered. Finishing 4th would mean no guaranteed CL football, which means no guaranteed revenue, which means no benefit of more money to sign a key player or two in the summer. Given that most of our squad will be exhausted from the Euros and how late we do our transfer business, we could struggle in a CL qualifier in mid-August if we draw someone like Inter, Villareal, Lyon, Wolfsburg, Braga, etc.

Title done and dusted, lets just win our remaining games and ensure 2nd place!! we will come again though, Leicester luck will run out next season and we are good enough to compete with the Sky Top 4... we have proven that this season
I said at the beginning of this year that next season is ours as the team grows and we turn the draws into wins. I just didn't expect it to be Leicester that won it this year. Wow.

Thats the thing all the Big boys will be back in town next year spending big dollars, this was our chance but its not to be.

This was our chance to win something, not just the title but a UEFA Cup, FA Cup or League Cup and the fact is that yet another talented Tottenham side finishes supposedly a successful season with no silverware. What grates the most is that we have been here before during the Redknapp era and we making the exact same mistakes again.

I'm not going to use the term that everyone hates, but for me, unless Leicester mightily mess up, this season is final proof that the footballing Gods don't like us.

For years we've waited to have a title challenging side. Finally, through clever long term plans such as investing in youth from the Arnesen times and building a great training facility, a lot of trial and error on the management front, and some excellent scouting of players, we've ended up with a fantastic squad.

This is a squad rightly lauded as the best defence, the best tactically, the youngest, fittest, bravest and most talented.

That this came in a season when Man City are in flux, Chelsea mightily messed up and ManU still haven't recovered from losing Fergie has made this the perfect storm for us to win the title.

But the footballing Gods couldn't do it. In this one perfect season for us, they got together and got a bunch of journeymen, rejects and nobodies, managed by a manager who most thought would get them relegated, and got them to have an amazing season, one that defies belief, and take that title from us.

Unless Leicester mess up and give away the title, this is the ultimate proof that the footballing Gods don't like us.

It's time to face up to reality. We're not going to win the title at Stamford Bridge and it could well go down to the last game now.

Spot on, if you snooze, you lose. We have to improve every year.
