Sadly for Andros I think he only made 3 PL appearances for us this Season (plus 4 in cups / Europe). He won't be due a medal.

imagine if we do win the league, all our players get given medals and celebrate at St James Park, and out comes townsend in his Newcastle kit, gets a medal and celebrates with us! can't see that going down well with their fans.

I think they'll be more annoyed when he leaves in the summer as he doesn't fancy playing in the Championship next season!

I think we're in danger of getting ahead of ourselves. Need to concentrate on beating West Brom rather than speculating on ifs and maybes of fixtures further down the line.

Last week Leicester would have looked at the Swansea game thinking "beat Swansea and Spurs must win every one of their last four games" now they'll be thinking "Spurs are going to win their last four games so we must beat Swansea" that's a hell of a turn round, all the pressure is on them.
Im still not very confident about Chelsea. They will be up for it and do anything to ruin our chances. It's the only thing left for them to play for. No chance at Europe. They'll do anything in their power to ruin our season and will 100% lay down for Leicester on the final day of the season. We need to be at our absolute best to beat them at the Bridge.

Come on he's ex Arsenal and now at Chelsea. What do you expect him to say? If it was Ginola for example on there and roles were reversed don't you think he'd say he'd prefer Leicester over the Gooners to win? Will Chelsea be more up for our game than Leicester? Probably but they are every season, it's a derby.

yeah, but he's a retired player, not current.

Don't know if anyone heard the nice old chap on the 5-live broadcast after the game yesterday? I listened to the podcast just now. This chap remembers our title triumph 55 years ago and feels there are many spooky similarities to then. Just from memory he's worried because although that season we won (scoring 115 goals for!), we did lose at home to Leicester, Newcastle and West Brom and lost two of our last 3 home games...

Spooky. Hopefully nothing more than a coincidence!

Nah the three points next week guarantees finishing above United. Therefore if City finish outside the top 4, we'll be at least 3rd.

Agreed. The question I was responding to was whether the three points next week guarantees us CL, which it doesn't, it guarantees us 5th. Arsenal and Man C have 5 games left, including one against each other so one of them could get to 75 points and the other 72, or both get to 73.

Yes, surely in which case we'd be 4th? Therefore CL.

I suspect that West Ham game will have rattled their players a bit...it's sometimes a little easier being the chasing club at this stage. Plus Vardy won't be playing in PL for the first time this year. There's a good chance they will draw or lose their next game. If we can beat West Brom then the pressure is really on them for the last three games. It's still an outside bet, but the odds are better than they were on Friday.

We will beat Chelsea.

Might not win the league when it's all said and done, but I'm sure we will do them this year at their ground.
