I had thoughts recently that winning the league wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Don't get me wrong of course I 100% wanted it but we have been the outsiders for a few games now, never favourites. I just hope (and I think he's the right man to do it) Poch can use this experience and disappointment to drive this team on, and make them hungrier than if we had won it. Long term it could be something we look at and say that gave them greater character improved their winning attitude and made them into better, more experienced players.

Been a fantastic season and whatever happens from now till the end I'm proud of the club as a whole

I really believe that with these players and Poch, as well as a new stadium, that this club is on the verge of something special.

@erhieyid, care to explain why you disliked my post? I can see why someone might disagree with it, but ca'nt see what there is to dislike.

I am still genuinely worried about Arsenal and City. We've got some horrific games to come still and 5 points really isn't much.

I know there were plenty of other games were Spurs "lost" points of course, so those I mentioned were simply examples and the most obvious.
Spurs outplayed Newcastle and let in 2 soft goals after taking the lead. Unacceptable. Not to speak of Huth, their best header, not being marked on a corner.

we out played Newcastle 1st half, unfortunately 2nd half we were shit. the Huth situation was a case of 2 defenders running into each other to give him a free header.

anyway after tonight its as good as over, I know its still possible but we now need to win all 3, and both Man U and Everton to get a result and hope that Chelsea do turn up on the last day.

Im still in shock. I cannot believe we went out whit a whimper. Proud that we are second but so disappointed we didn't put up a half decent fight in the 2nd half. Not sure if we will be in this position next season.

Very disappointed tonight. Especially with our reaction after their goal. Like others have said we went out with a whimper, which is out of character for is this season.

I worry now about our remaining games. Really hope this isn't the start of a collapse.

A further test of mentality and team spirit. The team should learn from this and become stronger. A great achievement if we can get CL qualification.

Come on, there is a reason Swansea are 15th. They are shit, they lost 3-0 to fucking Newcastle the game before Leicester. They were never going to get a result.

and before tonight WBA were on the same points, but they put up a fucking fight (ruined my birthday week c***s)

Disappointed with the result tonight but the team has been amazing this season.

There is still a glimmer of hope and I would Kevin Keegan "Love it" if we went on to win it from here... But, let's not kids ourselves, Man Utd aren't that good and I can see Leicester doing a cheeky 1-0 over them.

Next year Rodders...next year!

I honestly think WB's defensive approach on our tight pitch always ends up going the same way. Chelsea will come on to us more and we'll have more space.

I think we'll beat them.

the annoying thing is, after going 1-0 up, shame we never tried to shut up shop a bit, though do that and they would of had more opportunities with corners, so perhaps not:(

Your mate needs to be exorcised or something.

might be my fault on this occasion, took my 2 grown up's 1 treated me for my birthday, when tickets become available late on.

due to not really being able to afford to take them when they where younger, for the last 4-5 seasons we have mainly gone to EL matches. before tonight they had only ever been to 1 PL match, WBA on boxing day:(

they have never seen us lose, and both WBA games are the only games that have not had at least 4 goals in the game. the good news is they won't be going to anymore league games with me, after tonight I think i'll have to call it a day going until at least the new stadium is up, and not far to get to the seats from the car park. I walked further today than I have in months, the old pins don't wanna carry this fat bastard anymore:ROFLMAO:

We need the 2 points that we threw away today from the last 3 games to clinch 3 rd and frankly that's all I care about right now. To be honest I am not optimistic we will get anything from Chelsea. Newcastle will probably be fighting for their lives. The Sothampton game should be the banker home win that we need but then we all thought that about tonight.

Arsenal will get 6 points for sure, maybe 7. If City are exhausted after going to Madrid I can see them even getting 9.

Man City 3 points v Swansea, Southampton could do us a huge favour by taking a point which could happen but assume City win then somehow I feel they may lose to Arsenal so 6 points.

I'm going to go for a loss at Chelsea, draw against Southampton then a win at Newcastle. So 4 points giving us second place but down to the wire.
