What's happened to Spurs that is unlucky this season though? Or are you talking generally?

Well we hit the post 3 times at wba ;-)
[Joking of course - I'm not focused enough on here at the moment to come up with anything better]

I was really talking about the general cliche.

An aside; It might actually make an interesting end of season thread (around about now): "How and where did lady luck screw us over this past season?" a.k.a. "the great excuses thread"

Gotta say that between this and the St Totteringham's Day thread I'd be really interested to put together a Venn diagram of people who say that they're too classy to lord it over Arsenal fans if we finish above them in the league, and people who flatly refuse to gracefully concede that if Leicester win the league then they will have deserved it this season. I think the overlap area might be pretty large.

You can see Everton getting a draw? Really?
Not a betting man then lol.
Everton are imo, and I dont think Im being overly unkind here, fkin shit.
If Leicester dont win Id be amazed.

Everton's away form is actually decent, they have players coming back from injuries, Martinez is fighting for his job.

If there's one thing I'm taking away from this season, it's that NOTHING is guaranteed

I think @Bus-Conductor started that thread at the start of the season.

Come to think of it, l'm missing "unpopular opinion amnesty" - so people got ruffled in there a few times, it was generally good for the quips

38 games is a fair sample size.

But agreeing with luck doesn't even itself out (just because a 38 game competition is over) - luck doesn't have to even itself out anywhere in anything, so why would it be necessarily be so over the course of a football season. There's far too many factors and variables for "luck evens itself out over a season" to be anything other than a gross unconsidered simplification while at the same time a notion so full of bollocks it's choking on them.

Exactly this
Ask the pikeys about the shit decisions gone against them pretty much all season

Maybe they went to Leicester to play for the draw. Not commit to attack and leave themselves open to the counter attack that has served Leicester so well this season. Nothing wrong with teams playing for a draw away against the league leaders. At home to a depleted Liverpool with their eye on a semi final is a whole different matter.

Losing 0-4, dare I say is not playing for a draw

What else was suspect about the selection then? And in between beating Chelsea and losing to Leicester they'd also been smashed by Newcastle, it's not like they became shit out of nowhere. I think the selection was made to try and get a goalless draw, but it went horribly wrong after the Williams clearance fiasco.

Have you seen Newcastle play recently? Did you watch Saturday's MOTD?
Listen / watch the unbiased views of the panel.
Townsend has definitely benefitted from regular games. It's now very possible that they will beat the drop, especially if you look at the remaining fixtures of the bottom 4.

Sorry, I forgot to say about the team selection. Other than the lack of a striker, they also changed fullbacks, which had been playing well and other midfield selections I think?
If you can be bothered to check team selections before playing Leicester feel free but I can't be bothered.

Are you suggesting that Newcastle in 18th are better than Leicester who are top? Anyway my point was that Swansea were rubbish against both of them, they didn't just fold against Leicester.

Did I in any of my posts say that Newcastle are better than the foxes? No
They have drastically improved since Rafa took over though.

Holding my breath (not written us off just yet) - all season leicester been due a slump and I'm ready to keegan love it.

It was locked :(

Sod it... Unpopular opinion amnesty: "Some spurs fans are too quick to pretend how good Leicester actually are - in a bid to appear a level above us other naturally pissed off and somewhat bitter spurs fans - like it'll absolve all their sins and get them into heaven quicker... worse some tits are actually posting that they "want Leicester to win today because [insert theory as to why it'd be a great and joyous thing]"... Further Leicester are 2 bob, freaked and will go back to being 2-bob.

Now come at me

except don't

They played the same defenders and keeper against Newcastle, Chelsea and Leicester.

It's not at the moment, they have won 1 (v Villa) drawn 2 and lost 2 in their last 5 away games.

Leicester Will win the title. Congrats - but we dont like it.

They deserve it if they do: under pressure they have not lost away to man u, with 10 men vs west ham, etc etc.

We would probably have won it if it was 48 games as we are the best team atm.

If we get 2nd or 3rd it is a massive achievement!!

People saying this is a poor year om terms of teams underachieving dont know what they talk about.

Enjoy our medal - It is our best performance in decades! You can talk about klinsmann, Sheringham, ginola and bale - but none of those got us a PL medal!
