I don't see how people can look at Leicester's games and say they have by far and away the easiest run-in. Like us they have 4 games where dropping points wouldn't be a shock, with the others being games we would both be favourites to win.

Arsenal's is relatively easy, but they still have three tough away games against Everton, West Ham, and Oil Money.

Oil Money have to play United, Chelsea, and Arsenal (away to Southampton won't be easy either).

United (let's include them for laughs) have the most difficult run-in, with Oil Money, Everton, us, Spam, and Leicester.

We have 5 games we should win (obviously whether we do is another issue), then United at home (which we should win), Stoke away (difficult but winnable), and both Liverpool and Chelsea away.

On paper the games against Liverpool and Chelsea look very difficult (and I've predicted that we'll lose both), but considering our away form, and the fact that we tend to play better against the more attacking teams, we are more than capable of doing well in those matches.

I think it is just a defence mechanism - if we pretend our oppos have really easy fixtures and we have really hard fixtures I won't have to believe we have any chance of catching them, and then I won't be hurt (butt-hurt, to use modern terminology) if/when we don't do it...boo hoo, poor me :)

For me, it is enough that the fixtures are pretty comparable but they have a five point advantage with nine games to go. That alone makes them clear favourites. We will either have to surpass ourselves, or they will have to slump drastically, or we will have to surpass ourselves and they will have to slump massively, for us to catch them. No need for hocus or playing tricks with our own minds or anything :)

They don't need to slump massively. One unexpected draw and one unexpected defeat would be enough. Looking at our respective fixtures we could actually drop 7 points and still possibly win the title.

You have not shown this. I don't care what the league table says, Chelsea and Liverpool away will be harder for us than Utd at home. If West Ham at home are Leiscters hardest fixture I'll stand by the words you hate, they have a much easier run in than us. Doesn't mean we won't do better than them! On paper all teams would want there fixtures and there 5 point lead
spot on.

I think realistically if we can 3rd that will be fantastic, of course i'm not saying the title is gone but really we probably needed to beat either west ham or arsenal mostly because Leicester just keep fucking winning.

Look, @millsey would spin us winning the title as a negative for the club so your post, however eloquent, will fall on deaf ears. Half expect he wants us to fall short so he can say he told us so but I can't believe anyone would think that...

You're right, I'm sure.

It's just, well, it's like when a toddler is filling his/her nappy, and they stare right ahead, face shaking with the intensity, a low rumble coming from the throat, you begin to smell it and at one stage they glance at you quickly obviously thinking you have no idea what they are doing. You just want to shout at them "We know what you're doing!!!" :)

The only Leicester fan I know has just posted that stupid spurs - 13 minutes at the top of the league DVD mock poster on his social media page, now I'm even MORE desperate to win this title and ruin their fun in the process. Shame cause I thought he was a reasonably humble bloke.

Are they after EL games if we get past Dortmund? If so, I'd much rather play on the Monday than the Sunday. Gives us an extra day after EL at the expense of a day's prep for the EL

if we get past Dortmund, hopefully Man U will do Liverpool as 1st leg is before the MU game, the 2nd leg leads up to the Stoke game.

if we get past that Q/F I think 1st leg is before the Chelsea game, then the 2nd leg would be 3 days after Chelsea

We went top of the league for the first time on Saturday.

Yeah, I know. But I'm talking like really being top. 15 minutes or whatever doesn't actually feel like that, especially when Leicester still had their match to come. I think you knew what I meant, though.

Yeah I knew what you meant, but technically we were top of the league...for a bit!

Not sure I buy that. Technically, you only receive points once the game has been completed. Hence, when we conceded the equaliser, we didn't lose points per se. We had never had them in the first place.

Besides, if we go down the 'top for 15 minutes' discussion route for too long, we're setting ourselves up to be mocked by other fans.
