surely he has to go now.
Won't happen pre world cup, but we're going backwards.

No invention in attack. Never mind domination in scrum, we are so predictable. Only managed 1 try against South Africa who were down a man for 20 minutes. Then don't get me started on the number of players played out of position.

Fair play to the Boks though. A lot of players out, yet outplayed us and destroyed us both up front and out wide.

Frustrating watch that. Same and the football team. It’s like we have no room to be creative. Same shit. Different day.

Who goes first out of Jones and Pivac?

I really hope it's Eddie
No chance, that capitulation against the wallabies hot on the heels of the Georgia and Italy results have done for him.
Hopefully Jones won’t be too far behind though but I can’t see them getting shot before the WC

Warren Gatland re-appointed as Wales Coach with Pivac sacked. He'll be wheeling out Jamie Roberts and Gethin Jenkins again
in the 6N if he can find the retirement homes they're in.

Borthwick seems pretty much nailed on, and the very first thing he should do is get on the phone to Shaun Edwards.

The Welsh RFU phone book literally has one name in it

It's actually pretty embarrassing
Almost as embarrassing as sacking the most successful coach you've had in the last 20 years, with no clear plan to replace them, 9 months before a World Cup...

Was Pivac that good then?
Pivac, yes - before he took over, they'd not won a grand slam in 13 years, embarrassed themselves at a World Cup overseas, embarrassed themselves even further by being dumped out of a World Cup at home after being trounced in the group stage. He went on to win more matches than his combined successors, with a win rate of 73%. So, it's baffling that he'll likely be replaced by a former assistant who's won one domestic title.

Oh, wait.

No it’s not. The guy clearly wasn’t making the right calls for years. WC players in the wrong position, not picking on any sort of form, absolutely fucking daft tactics. There was no redeeming the situation. It’s right that he has gone

Only time will tell us that. The proof of this decision will be in how his successor does - but they have big shoes to fill when it comes to getting England to win, Jones record makes him one of the best coaches England have had. The RFU knew he was ornery when they hired him, and that was okay as long as he brought them success. Now they have the excuse they wanted to sack him and wasted no time doing it - no doubt in favour of some ‘yes’ man that will take the side backward. It was probably only Jones impressive win ratio that kept in the job this long anyway.
Yes, Jones’s style was defensive and boring, but that’s how England play. Though I admit it probably didn’t help him to have a strong French team doing so well, beating all comers with brave and exciting performances full of elan. Though they will have all the pressure on them at a home World Cup and it will be interesting to see how they handle that.
