One percent of the game in the second half has taken place in the England 22. Chernobyl's seen more human activity than that.

 Too easy for England.

They could have been a bit more clinical when they were close to the line, and Youngs needs to sort out his throwing, but a good performance, and I like the contributions of the three relative noobies in the 3's.

The Ireland game will be interesting indeed. Let's hope the weather doesn't spoil it.

I'm not sure which was worse, Scotland's performance or the pitch. First nil score line in the Six Nations for ten years.

I don't suppose they'll be looking forward to going to Italy. I think they could lose that, with the lack of cutting edge, and appalling line-out.

When Scotland had a player sin-binned he was seen on the TV on an exercise bike and my missus said "Is that part of his punishment?" !!

Only just caught up with the game. Hard to really judge that, a 20 point win, the opposition getting nul points and played in crap conditions on a crap pitch and you have to be content.

Scrappy but in complete control. We didn't really have to do anything thanks to Scotland being woeful. Will need to step it up several notches against the Irish.

Complete domination. Over powered them in every phase. O'Mahoney is unbelievable. Out-played three lions in the back row. The great thing is the backs haven't fully clicked yet.
Completely agree - we were shit and Ireland were very good.

Not sure how Philips stayed on the field either. He was warned numerous times for mouthing off all game. It kept getting away with it.
BOD and co have made careers out of being gobby and reffing the game! And for the record I don't like Phillips - mouthy off the pitch too!

Looking forward to Ireland v England. Has the potential to be game of the tournament.

I think that is very bad and may tip the balance in one or both of the next two games, but especially against Ireland.

Sam Burgess has signed with Bath, thought they would have to pay more than they did in the end. It will be interesting to see how he gets on and if he can adapt and slot in at centre.

Yup. An unfit Wilson vs. Healy. Not ideal

Its a shame he is just coming back from injury. Hopefully his fitness isn't that far off. I'd back a fit Wilson to gain parity with Healy in the set piece at the very least. Wilson is actually a better scrummager than Cole.

The biggest worry for England is when Wilson starts to fade and they have to bring Thomas on! He will get eaten alive. Hopefully Wilson can last 60-70 minutes.

Advantage Ireland I think.

Thomas isn't bad in the loose, he would slot in well to our efforts at the breakdown, but you are right his work at the scrum just isn't anywhere near require standard yet. I'd guess Wilson would start and you get 50 mins out of him hopefully, then sub him... And hope we don't have to scrum down too many times.

Its times like this when the England set up should just bite the bullet and make a decision based on right now. They ballsed up last year by not calling up Sheridan and Easter for the Wales game.

Matt Stevens, your nation needs you:ROFLMAO:

I don't understand what James Hook has done to deserve this kind of treatment. If he quit to focus on his club career I honestly wouldn't blame him. I was the first one to say he didn't have the greatest WC (even though he was fucked about with for the 2 years prior to the WC) but considering how bad both Priestland and Biggar are playing I don't get how Hook doesn't get a chance.

It'll be interesting to see how North does at 13

Looking forward to Rhys Webb getting a run out, though he hasn't got back to the level he was at a couple of years ago (shocking injury list)

You English lads happy with the team against Ireland?

The team pretty much picks itself right now, the only discussion point really being Cole getting crocked and having to rush back from injury Wilson as his replacement. Good to see George Ford in the 23 at last, fans have been waiting for him to be ready for a couple of years now because he could potentially be a real star... Will be interesting to see where he's at if/when he gets on the pitch.

Should be a very close game. I make Ireland slight favourites because of experience and slightly more momentum they have built up over the last 2-3 games, even though we are at home.

Too creative for Gatland's game plan I guess. Rhys Priestland really winds me up with the number of times he'll just kick the ball away when we're in a decent position to get an attack going. I can barely understand how he's still in the squad let alone the first team.

North didn't look good there against Ireland but then again nobody did so not a good game to judge anything on really (apart from our inability to deal with a rolling maul perhaps).

Decent, albeit long, article on the demise of Scottish rugby here if anyone's interested.
