Pleased to see some new names in there and hope that translates into a different approach in the tournament.

You'd hope Cole, Marler and Care aren't given too many minutes in the tournament itself with that progression in mind, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of options in those positions.

No, and they're also some of the best and also in form (in Care's case) players in the Prem. I think Big Joe is a good guy to have around the squad anyway, mostly cause he's a bit bonkers!! lol

Really pleased to see Tom Pearson in there. He's been tearing it up for Northampton.

Joe Schmidt new coach of Australia.

if you disregard Eddie jones, they’ve gone from a former manawatu coach to a former manawatu player.

for their next coach I plan on applying as a former manawatu attendee.

Incredible display from Northampton to beat Munster away with 14 men for the whole second half. Thought the red card was really harsh on Curtis Langdon. Really building belief as a team now and should take a huge confidence boost from this.

Can’t do any bloody worse..

I’m excited for Joe Schmidt, hopefully the ARFU back his ideas. Looking to bring in a system similar to Ireland., where the provinces are all working together for the benefit of the national team… no easy task given the politics and history.

So...the post World-Cup Six Nations...what are everyone's thoughts?

Feels like Ireland and France are still way out ahead but sort of depends on how they both react to losing Sexton/Dupont.

Wales and Scotland I don't really know. Wales feel like they are trying to move into a new era but with an old-head in charge. Scotland consider to be 'improving' but at some point need to make that 'winning'.

As for England it is almost impossible to predict at this stage. The club sides are doing fantastically at the moment, but we know that doesn't always translate to the national team.

I think more will become clear when the team for Italy is announced. If we see some of the old-guard coming back into the team I'll personally be disappointed but it will be a sign of where we are heading.

Re England, I can see no point whatsoever playing the old guard against - with all due respect - Italy, unless injuries remove any future candidates from consideration. A shame that Smith misses this game.

France / Ireland could go either way, and they will be the top two come the end of the tournament, but I'm not telling you in which order.

Wales / Scotland will be informative. I expect Wales to nick it. I can't remember who's playing where when Wales, Scotland & England play each other, but home advantage may well decide places 3, 4 & 5.

It really is a shame Smith the First isn't fit for the Italy game as I'd like to have seen them use that as a building block for how we play in the rest of the tournament.

But I would therefore pick Smith the Second ahead of Ford for Italy.

Been playing really well for Northampton. Big shame if Mitchell is out since they have a great understanding.

Don't see the benefit in playing Ford, Daly or Marler in this particular game.

But let's hope we see a solid England performance to then allow a bit more expansivenessosity in the second half.

Fuck. 😑

Be interesting to hear the RFU’s take on it but given the lack of money in the game I’d expect them to roll out the red carpet.
The amount of money it would cost them compared to football would be small change to them,
unfortunately though I think this will happen, what is the ruling about minority shareholding in multiple clubs though?
For me it’ll just be another way of the RFU ring fencing the top division even further.

Really looking forward to this one, be interesting to see how both teams bounce back after the disappointment of the WC

Granted France were down a man for a sizeable chunk of the match, but Ireland looked pretty damn strong coming out the gate and carried on for the whole match.
