Nominally, he was on the right of a three man midfield, but he just got forward and made deep runs into the box.

Yeah I'm sure you're right, I just thought Allen was more deep lying, controlling the tempo - recycling possession, a Carrick if you like. Don't remember him scoring many goals and getting into the box much

Anyway back on topic, this has got out of hand

Yes but how would his source know anything about Liverpool? And I'm told if the deal has been done it was only done this afternoon so JJ seemed to know a bit too early. Strange if he's somehow found out before all the best LFC ITKs lol!

Maybe his source at Spurs was told where Sahin was heading whilst discussing the Modric deal.

If you do get him Rodgers could play a midfield 3 of Allen-Lucas-Sahin at times. The 3 he used at Swansea (Britton-Allen-Sig) didn't really have a proper cdm so he doesn't seem adverse to playing an attacking oriented midfield 3. However, as mentioned before, I don't know where that leaves Gerrard. Treatment room I guess with his record the past couple of seasons.

I really dont think it matters who liverpool sign,,,,,or, who there manager is, when fit, GERRARD PLAYS,

no offence but all i've gathered from the last 4 pages is that the scousers have perhaps learnt from the last few seasons and worked on getting decent players in for medium outlay rather than spunking away ridiculous sums on absolute shite, albeit there's still time in the window and borini is yet to prove one way or the other. sahin if he signs, if he plays and if he's up to the prem speed would make a welcome addition to any side as he's undoubted quality however personally i'm more interested in spurs. if he goes there rather than us, so be it, but that's surely the end of it. who gives a naff what formation the scousers play, i certainly don't.

No idea how reliable this is.

I follow Nad and he tends to act as a news aggregator for anything Spurs related, digging out the most obscure transfer links from the most putrid depths of the twittersphere. However, I'd be quite surprised if he had any genuine RL links. He lives in Birmingham for a start and seems to spend all his time on twitter but I guess it's plausible that someone with connections shares info with him online as JJ supposedly does with Ryan.

Maybe one Mexican can get the best out of the other Mexican, GDS. Though Mexican fans hate us for not playing GDS enough.

I like Toela. He's a lovely chap and shows the upmost respect on another team's board (a team that would be considered a rival for a top spot with his own). But if I posted tactics for Tottenham here, I would be ripped a new asshole by certain powerful individuals. So Toela must actually have pictures of A&C's nether region with both balls intact, using it as leverage to keep A&C's favorite joke alive and thus allowing him a power most of us don't have. :)

I would found a €35million offer surprising, especially when you consider that RVP has gone to Man Utd for less and Juve also been making bids of €17million and offering Llorente really low wages(35kp/w)
but RVP is 29 and in the last year of his contract!? Modric should go for way more....
Also, Man U are never paying 24m for him - that'll be the max based on trophies while he is there.

well we may have bid for him but...

-Mexican fans, on the whole, absolutely despise Spurs. He'd be under pressure from his NT coach and his agent and his fans NOT to go here.

-Gio is probably leaving (a bit sad as he clearly has a lot of talent and I would like to see AVB give him a chance but I think at this point it's best for both sides)

-Man U kind of hate us in the transfer market right? I remember JJ saying something about how we are on some teams' do not sell to list.

-He'll want starting minutes, which I don't see him getting here.

-He's essentially Defoe. Good player, but I have reservations about his ability to play alone.

Thus I don't think we sign him. Dubious link in the first place anyway.
