Shame hardly any of these players will get minutes in the premier league next season.

Dunno, think a few of them could get some game time. A lot of the guys are from Everton and they've been very willing to play youth this season. Could change with them now having a bit of money of course, but it's too early to say Koeman will change his policy. Can see Solanke being regular on the Liverpool bench and getting decent minutes. Cook at Bournemouth another I can see play some.

Guess Tomori got a decade in front of him out on loan, being Chelsea.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're among the worst in this case with Onomah and Walker-Peters

I can't see solanke being on the bench much when firmino, sturridge and origi are all ahead of him.

Great result after the errant start.
Thought England bossed it after that up till our 3rd goal when Italy stepped up a bit.
Really pleasing performance(y)

Not an England fan but did enjoy the game and was willing them to win. Watched to see KWP perform. Wasn't disappointed

Yes he did well, some will say he was at fault for their goal but Cook switched off after giving the free kick away. CB then let the player run free and get his cross in. So it wasn't solely KWP although he did run in an arc to cover the goal scorer and was just a tad late. Fine shot though from the Italian.

The England youth teams seem to be have a large pool of talented players of Nigerian descent.

This U20 squad includes Tomori, Solanke, Lookman, Ojo, Ejaria, Onomah & possibly Konsa.

Then there is Dele Alli, the Chalobah brothers, Tammy Abraham, TJ Eyoma etc.

How quick is KWP? i know its not as fast walker or Fredrick ( still think we should have kept him and loaned him) do you think he is a lot quicker than Trippier?
Yes, he's quicker than Trippier and just generally a better footballer.

Blake, Do you have any videos of Marcus Edwards from last season playing for the u23's? I know you put together some clips in the past, just wondered if you had anything more recent.

there haven't been many televised/streamed games that he's played in this season so haven't really had a chance too, i still have the liverpool game recorded but it was his first game back after a long injury and he was generally a bit off the pace(despite scoring a nice goal) so wouldn't have shown him in the best light. i could do one of the everton game where he was decent but the stream looked like it was filmed using a flip phone :D (n)

if he plays at the upcoming euros then i'll definitely try and do one then.

With Nigeria top of their WC qualifying group it'll be interesting if any decide to represent them in order to play in next years World Cup.
If they can convince a couple of those English players Nigeria have the makings of a very good team with big potential (Iheanacho, Ndidi, Iwobi and Onyekuru already in squad).

Would be good for the tournament to have countries aside from Europe and South America progressing to latter stages.

Here's Italy's goal... someone explain to me how I'm wrong that KWP lost his man? It's just about as clear as can be. No idea how anybody can say otherwise.

Imo that's the left side CB fault he gets drawn over when there's no need .if he stays in position he would have covered the goal scorer .the scorer is virtually in the centre of goal .KWP tries to cover CB mistake but doesn't get there in time that's how I see it

He does technically, but I'm not sure it's his fault. I'd call it good play by the attacker to get on the blindside and take advantage of that half second he buys himself. KWP could maybe be less focused on the ball and more looking at where his man is, is maybe a little hesitant in his movement before committing to the attempted block, but he's not done a huge amount wrong there. Its very clinical from the Italy player, find the space and then finish.

Sturridge is on his way out, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him ahead of the very average Origi before too long. Firmino starts.

There's a reason he's moved there - he'll be in the first team squad without a doubt.

I would be surprised if he is ahead of origi, solanke hasn't even proven anything yet except at youth level so I don't see how he would suddenly jump ahead of origi.

He wanted out at Chelsea probably because he knew he wasn't gonna get a look in, in fact he wanted 50k a week to stay at Chelsea.

See you've used the word suddenly. I clearly said 'before too long'.

Exactly - he left Chelsea because he wasn't getting a look in. He's hardly going to Liverpool to not even make their bench is he?
