Mentioned it in match thread but what a missed chance to give someone like Skipp a start alongside some first teamers. Moose would have nursed him through it.

Imagine KWP wouldn’t even be playing if Rose was fit.

I hope the reason that KWP starts is not because of Rose's injury.
That will literally be the only reason mate. If it was about his development he'd be playing at RB with trips on the left. Davies can't play 3 games in 5 days or whatever which is fair enough

With the team put out today there's every chance we could be 3 goals up with 20mins left. Kane and Lamela would be subbed off, surely it would've been nice to give a couple of youth team players 20mins experience rather than bringing on Dele and Son. I don't get it.

You can take a game seriously and still have academy players on the bench, otherwise how would you ever introduce them. While I would have loved another to start I can understand that, but how are none on the bench. Just to give some experience too They've already played Wimbledon this year they can do it

I would love to ask Poch why he isn’t giving academy players the chance. I think he would be mad at me for asking that question and say Winks, KWP, Kane, Bentaleb, Mason, Carroll, Onomah, Townsend but Winks is the only player I can give 100% credit to. Honestly I don’t understand, does he want them to be 100% ready both mentally and physically? That’s not realistic

Just to add to the general annoyance why is Poch so against loaning out our youth players when he has no intention to give them any chances in the first team ? Not all of them are going to make it but at least if we give them loans we can get some decent fees that we use to help fund the first team. Keeping them locked up at Hotspur Way and not giving them first team exposure seems to achieve nothing positive.

Think time to write the youth involvement off for this season.

I had written it off at the start of the season once Onomah went on loan. Experience has told me so, but the KWP start on the first game of the season had me half believing and I was naively sucked in. Quickly disappeared though. I have tried to stay optimistic but I didn't genuinely believe Poch would give any meaningful minutes to our academy players, despite what people told me to believe. Maybe next season...

As I say I only want whats best for the first team. If we don't have any money, then the same way we put 'N'Koudou in the shop window' why don't we at least do it for the academy players. If you don't want to use it fair enough but then at least do a Chelsea get as many out on loan as possible and start raising money so we can start buying proper quality. Being seriously underused

If we still need all of Dele,Eriksen and Son come off the bench to win against AFC Wimbledon, I think we deserve to be knocked out.

I am pleased that Foyth and Walker-Peters is in the starting 11, and also Llorente, Lamela, Wanyama so they can get important minutes before the big matches later.

Maybe Poch after going out in League cup is scared of missing out of winning a trophy this season and then use an experience team and also because of other teams like Chelsea drawing will avoid a replay ? Can it be that he dont like to give youngsters a chance at the big Wembley stadium instead of smaller stadium.

Arsenal have 8 academy players,4 starts (Iwobi, Maitland-Niles, Willock, Nelson) and 4 on the bench (Akpom, Da Silva, Osei-Tutu, Nketiah) while we are drawing 0-0 to Wimbledon at half time with KWP as our only academy players (it you don’t count Kane)

You have to remember that these players arsenal have got on their bench are all players who been produced through arsenals dark period when they were struggling as an academy, got better recently

The more I watch KWP play the more confused I get to why Poch isn’t playing him. He was brilliant once again today from what I saw and heard

Why wouldn't you count Kane?
