U18s: GOAL! Markanday denied by great save moments ago but this time it's four as Shashoua nods Tainio's delivery back across for Richards to head in. 4-0, 70mins #COYS

Eng u19s beat Latvia 3 nil. Tanganga has started 2 important qualifiers. All things being even appears England coaches appear to rate Tanganga higher than Wilmot at this point from what they've seen.

Despite Wilmot playing league football the coaches still think Tanganga is better while we try to sign Wilmot. Of course it is likely Wilmot will overtake JT as he is constantly playing league football while JT stagnates.

I hadn’t just presumed as wasn’t in xi.

turns out he is on the bench. he wasn't in the training vids earlier this week though so don't think he's 100%. would be good to see him, maddison and sessegnon on at some point in the 2nd half, maybe they'll start the qualifier next week as this is just a friendly.

bloody decent bench tbh all round very strong squad. KWP did well on goal. Won ball back and pass to lookman who set up goal.

Josh looks a lot happier in a deep lying midfield role. James Maddison. Got a good feeling about this kid. Would love to see what Poch could get out of him.

KWP just won England the game with an amazing block in the final minute of added time. Onomah looked great as well.

KWP was great 2 fantastic blocks and always looks so calm. Literally never gives the ball away. Onomah in flashes can look so good.

Malachi Walcott is in the u16s squad going to the Montaigu tournament.

Dane Scarlett an u14 got a brace for our u16s today. As we drew 2-2.

I think our u14s beat West Ham 6 or 7-0, waiting for confirmation but Jamie Donley got a hattrick and Williams scored

England really have some special talent now from U21-17. Shame this World Cup is probably 2 years too early. But add them into Kane dele Rashford sterling stones and could be some special times ahead.

Does Parker seem to have made a difference coaching the under 18s ?

going back to this, i think it's a difficult one to answer. it's easy to say whether a manager is doing well for the first team as it's 95% about results but at youth level there are many more factors at play so it makes it hard to really judge. whilst results aren't of massive importance for the youth sides though, you're not going to find anyone saying the coach is doing bad if the team are winning all the time and likewise you probably won't find many saying they're doing a good job if they're losing every week. as it is we're currently upper mid-table but if we do look at it from a results pov we've gotten better as the season has gone on - which i think we'd all agree is far more preferable than the reverse, so you'd like to think that progress is being made and that parker's now getting his ideas across better. the only games we've lost since november were against chelsea, who let's face it, beat everyone and we've had some really impressive results recently like today's 5-0 at villa, or beating reading 4-0 with 10 men, beating arsenal 4-1, liverpool 4-0 etc.

one thing that's been quite prevalent in the past month or so in terms of tactical setups is we basically have the two full backs playing as centre mids when in possession which i think is quite interesting, i know it's something guardiola has brought over here but it's nice to see parker showing he's not afraid to try something different. a minor quibble is that we've failed to see out a result a few times but i'm sure that's something that has been worked on, all in all though i think he's doing a good job.

KWP was Mr Reliable again and Onomah made a very impressive cameo in central midfield. A couple of times he took the ball on the half turn, burst beyond players and picked a sensible pass. He nearly got an assist too.

Dowell looked really good.

I'm not the most tactically aware so didn't think about the fullback thing. I had noticed it, but I assumed it was Reynolds being drawn into him more natural central role. Though as you say Hinds comes central too but again I thought it was due to his calmness and ease on the ball leading to him picking it up centrally. Plus we also know he has the ability to play CM. However, I guess if they were doing it against instruction they wouldn't be playing much, so must be under instructions.

If so it is good to see Parker trying something out himself

So from what all of you have said, we need to get tanganga a loan or push him into the first team. Onomah is still good at CM and we should try him out there in pre-season and KWP is still a dope fullback.
