The two misses at the start of the second half cost us.don't know how we lost that, we hit the woodwork four times and had a host of other chances. good performance on the whole though.
After some digging I've discovered that former U16s Harvey White, Ryan Penton & Christian Carter have new clubs.
White, a Maidstone boy, has gone to non-league Thee Bridges. Ryan Penton has turned up at non-league Whyteleafe and Carter who always struck me as a decent player has moved closer to home and joined non-league Cambridge City.
Don't know if I mentioned it elsewhere but Dillon Da Silva another from this age group moved on late last year to join an already sizeable former Spurs contingent at QPR. Ryan Gooderson, another from this group has dropped out of football. Henry Fuller, another from this group has opted for rugby over football and now plays for London Irish.
Goalkeeper Bartlomiej Cichowlas is a bit of a blank. Timi Sobowale, who we all thought we'd signed, appeared to have gone to Man City but I can find no evidence that he's played for them at any level in the last six months.
Dequan Wilson-Braithwaite is another player I've drawn a blank on. Pretty sure he left us a few months back but no idea where he is now.
@IGSpur , any idea whether Dearman is on the cusp of getting a deal?
Pochettino and Tainio were less impressive.
What’s the info on noni madueke is he highly regarded. Saw a wonder goal he scored at 14 last year almost beat the entire team. And looked great when came on today.
My understanding of teh original point was you suggested we should sign Foden Someone replied and said CIty wouldn't sell Foden, and you said they sold Sancho. They still had the "ownership" of Sancho and - if one is to believe ITK - ManC made it hard for him to sign for a EPL club.
I find though, that there are certain competition we take more seriously than others and I think FAYC is one of them. We don't do the passing out from back stuff as much there. But of course you're right generallyAs has been said the priority of the youth teams isn't results but the development of the players.
Only speaking for myself, I think it's hard to say people are intentionally twisting his words. Right or wrong, I literally thought he meant, at the level we are currently at we only need players who are 8/10s. If he did mean that then I think it is fair to say he clearly doesn't hold the same standard for signings, and also he is basically saying it is impossible to get in.I'm sorry if the word agenda bothers you but it bothers me when people twist our managers words to fit their 'opinion'. I've seen a number of people in this thread saying "oh well is sissoko an 8/10? hehe got you there poch" when everyone can clearly see that's not what he meant.
If is integration hasn't backed up his reputation, then he hasn't walked the talk, or at least the talk provided by the fans, and seemingly reinforced by himself. But tbh that is all that anyone has argued, while people have constantly just said trust him he knows what he is doing he is great at it, at least people are starting to recognise what actually is happening is at odds with what we're lead to believe.Yep I agree he's made some mistakes but to say "he's continually not walked his talk" is just wrong. You can say his level of youth intergration hasn't backed up his reputation but you can't say he's terrible at it, there's a middle ground which people never seem able to find.
Yes he is highly regarded. Very good dribbler and quick feet, and good passer. Highly rated among England circles too. Should start in England's strongest XI in his age group
Let me know if you find somewhere to watch them back as I'd love to watch the first half. I'm not going to able to watch too much of tomorrow's match either.Haven't seen any of Tainio. Will watch the game back, but from what I have heard, and additionally seen of Poch, I reckon their Dad's have had an involvement in getting into this age group. It can't be a coincidence plus they barely play anyway. It's sad if that is the case
Notable absentees from this tournament are Kane Patterson, Alexander Monroe, Josh Gray, Chay Cooper and Troy Parrott.
Hey @IGSpur any idea if, when Raff Pedder and Blake D'Arcy were relased and where they are now?
