TBF, It does mean mercenary in the context of a soldier, so it probably means being paid to temporarily work for a team (or something along those lines).Didn't know that. I genuinely thought it meant mercenary when I first read it, and thought it was harsh but could have been translation problems. I dont think you could legit call someone a mercenary that has only ever been employed by 1 club. With all the negative things I've seen Spurs fans say about him, I dont think mercenary has been one of them.
