Oh god come on Coco. Honestly thought she may have been blown off the court today, but she's played so well.

What a great win for Coco Gauff.

The strength of character and heart to not only come back from a set down against the new #1 but to maintain her composure after the mini fight-back in the 3rd.

She’s been an absolute revelation this year on and off the court. Her interviews post game have been so fresh and fun. Far away from the usual media trained standard answers really allowing her personality to shine though (esp when she’s so focussed on court).

So happy for her, rarely find a more deserving winner 🏆

Can Medvedev play again at a level he called 12 out of 10 in the final? Well he could, and he's beaten Djokovic on this court before, but I sill favour Djokovic tonight.

As for Shelton, obviously a great talent and his serve alone will take him to the top 10 I think, but against Djokovic he made 50 unforced errors, and he needs to sort out the top two inches before we'll know how good he could be. Major winner? Maybe. Better than Alcaraz? No, I don't think so.

1hr 44m just to play one set :wideyed:

That tie-breaker was brutal. Medvedev must be wondering what he has to do to get this over the line.

Novak allowed that break back just for a little drama, he’s all about that kinda thing, totally dominant in this set.

Two very good wins for team GB in Davis Cup this afternoon.

Both Draper & Evans went in as underdogs against higher ranked players but both dug in to get it over the line.

I thought Draper might well win, but didn't expect Dan to beat De Minaur. Very good win. And he's back out there now playing doubles.

Davis Cup is on BBC iPlayer or the red button.

They haven’t advertised it too much but 1/4 final GB v Serbia is on at the mo

Draper lost first set on a breaker but he’s scrapping away in the 2nd 5-4 up (on serve)

BBC didn't seem to be advertising it much at all, but at least they're showing it.

Tough match for Draper, especially knowing the tie is gone if he loses, with Djokovic to come.

Making so many unforced errors not entirely sure how he’s still in it 🤷‍♂️

Nice way to start the year with Murray v Dimitrov on Sky Sports

Tougher start than he’d have wanted but be good to see where his game matches up

He's playing well and doing better than I thought he would at the moment. That'll be the kiss of death!

Edit: Bugger. Sorry Andy. Third set decider; come on boy.

You just had to go and curse things didn’t you

Played a good level for those first two sets but Dimitrov just had too much into the 3rd.

It's looking that way. Tough first match of the year for anyone though.

Good win by Raducanu. 5-2 up in the 3rd, let 2 breaks slip to go 5-5, but didn't fold and took it 7-5. Good to see her back.

Even better to see Rafa back in a minute or so ...

Just so not interested in Tennis now compared to anytime from the 90's until a few years ago when it was clear that Federer's time was up and Nadal's was coming to an end.

Djokovic is boring, Alcaraz is great but outside of that I like Thiem but the rest of the top 10-20 are a bit meh tbh.

In the 90's and up to now you had so many exciting players:
Sampras
Agassi
Rafter
Chang
Roddick
Hewitt
F.Gonzalez
Henman (from a British standpoint)
Murrary (from a British standpoint)
Nadal
Federer

Also on the womens side the last 20-30 years has had a lot of great names but again now not so much.

Mabye I'm becoming a boring negative old fart but just doesn't seem to be the excitement or rivalries right now since Federer has retired and Nadal and Murrary are on their way out.

The only thing maybe a bit boring about Djokovic is that the end result is usually a bit predictable, but he's perhaps the most exciting player I've ever witnessed. His rivalries with the likes of Rafa, Roger, Andy, Wawrinka, Thiem, Alcaraz and Del Potro have delivered, over the span of a decade and a half, some of the most beautiful and crazy tennis matches ever.

Liam Broady is giving Rublev a hell of a run around at the moment.

Dropped the first set 6-4 (was 4-5 on serve) but he's broken Rublev early in the 2nd to lead 2-0. Didn't think he was able to compete at this level yet so great to see another upcoming brit making an impact on the tour

He's playing well, but my money is still on Rublev to take the second set. Let's hope I'm as wrong as usual. :D

And I hate to be pessimistic but I don't see Liam moving much further up the rankings, to be honest. He's in the top 100, and that's a great achievement, but it's a tough ask to get much further, especially when he's already 30 (as if that's old!)

Oh I'm totally with you on that, I've always had him in the category of 2nd round of Wimbledon (winning R1 against a random Spanish clay-courter) giving him funds for the year and floating around the 100-150 ranking range.

Good to see him fighting like this on an ATP 250 and showing some belief. Thought he'd be destroyed by a player like Rublev
