Glad to see him gone but don't really blame him for much of anything. Levy is the one who gave him the job.

Think he'll be a fine bottom half manager

Sacking AVB without a replacement was wrong, unless AVB wanted to go.

Looking back, once AVB had gone Levy wanted LVG, LVG said after the WC, so Levy employed a mug to hold the fort untill then, what Levy didn't foresee was ...

Tim would turn into a loose cannon whilst Levy 'used' him for 6 months... and that LVG would have his head turned by MU.

Levy was mugging Tim off but got mugged off by LVG.

Not sad to see him go and considering his general lack of class and previous with other managers like Hoddle I'm not really too bothered about wishing him the best for the future.

If he showed a bit more humility and recognised that in management terms he's little more than a novice then I'd have a lot more time for him.

Having said that, the attempts to integrate youth team players (albeit over the top sometimes) were welcomed.

Thanks for everything, Tim. You may not have been the greatest, but I appreciate the work you've done in getting us into Europe and providing us with some attacking (sometimes too much attacking) football. Anyone who wins at Old Trafford is OK in my book. Hopefully he'll receive some support in his new job.

Thanks for starting this. +1 from me.
At a time when we were drowning, he gave us our Spurs back. He brought through Bentaleb, who is going to be massive for us in the future, and gave the new manager food for thought with Kane.

I think Tim learnt a lot over the last few months. Notably, managing a PL side is a lot tougher than it looks. I have no doubt he'll go on to be hugely successful, and respected manager, and I wish him the very best.

If only we could get rid of some of our vitriolic and puerile "fans" as easily.

As Joni Mitchell told us , you don't know what you've got till it's gone .

It is just starting to dawn on me that I think Levy has made a horrendous mistake sacking Tim .

I wonder whether they will take Tim's transfer target requests on board ?

Seems we have a vindictive and puerile chairman and/or owner too .

Tim maintained his dignity to the end despite being undermined to the point where players started challenging his authority - maybe those same players couldn't stand being upstaged by Bentaleb and Kane .

Sad day .

Thanks Tim and good luck wherever you end up, sure you will become a very decent manager.

I think this was the right job, too soon....shame cos i think with 3/4 years good solid experience under his belt elsewhere he would be exactly the sort of manager we want!

We could recruit Simeone , sack him and appoint Klopp , sack him and employ Pep and it wouldn't change a thing whilst Enic are in charge .

He might have been tactically naive, he might have been way too outspoken, he might have failed to handle the big egos of todays superstar players, but at least he fully tried to embrace one of the quintessential Spurs quotes.

"The game is about glory. It’s about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."

Now, the style and flourish were rarely seen, but Sherwood deserves praise for his commitment to attacking football in a world fixated with the possession/counter-paradigm.

We could recruit Simeone , sack him and appoint Klopp , sack him and employ Pep and it wouldn't change a thing whilst we have the 6th highest turnover and pay the 6th biggest wages in the league.

I said from the start I didn't want him. All things considered he's done ok. If he could have kept his trap shut he'd be leaving with our thanks for Europe again and a pat on the back. As it is he turned in to some sort of pantomime villain who took a lot of shit and seems to have ruined any harmony we had in the dressing room.

Wish him well wherever he may end up.

Considering the circumstances when he took over and the short term of his contract, his record is very good.

To say he was an improvement over AVB is faint praise but he did get us scoring again and brought Adebayor back into the team.

Good luck Tim. I think you will do very well at another club.

I'll be grateful to him for.....

- making us watchable again because god knows we weren't under AVB.

- He gave us Ade back and that proved a smart move.

- He gave some youth players a chance and that is rarely a bad thing.

There are plenty of things I wish he hadn't said or done and I feel this came too soon but I think he has a bright future and will be a very good manager one day.
