More likely to go towards the stadium imo. Hopefully bullshit though, We will be fucked if he is allowed to leave this summer.

Just bumped into Adebayor
Just went through security with him at terminal 5.
he said he will be at spurs next season,
he said he thinks Bales staying.
I said he better score more goals next season and he said he always does his best.
Point of note to everyone. if you see a premiership footballer in front of you at airport security take a different queue, thought i was going to miss my flight waiting for him and his mates to take their jewellery off and get their louis vuiton through the scanner.
seemed like a nice bloke though.
he posted a pic of himself with ade as well
If Bale is sold for said amounts there's no way we will spend all of the money on new players, I will b staggered if the club goes out and spunks upwards of 100mil, it wouldn't happen, just not the clubs style. Would be nice but I really cant see it happening. More to the point hopefully Bale stays.I'm not so sure.
I think most would agree that we've got around 15m available at this time (it seems to have been thrown around a few times to targets).
Should we sell Bale for 80-85m, that's around 100 million, should that money be paid up-front, available to be spent in the transfer market.
We could add 5-6 quality/impact players to bolster the squad on the whole.
Any other players that will be sold (Huddlestone, Parker, Livermore, BAE, etc.) could go right into the stadium funding which would possibly be around 25-30m in the end. To me, that's a good chunk of money that realistically can go to the stadium while still using the larger sum of money on keeping this squad competitive.
Because maybe we're prepared to pay the release clause and then City, Chelsea etc etc come along and offer a bit more and take the player?
The Real Madrid Presidential elections are just over, its most likely just PR rubbish from Perez. No different to politicians outlining their policies running up to a general election with little intent to actually implement them.
I would wager all this had more to do with political smoke screening and trying to get votes than actually signing Bale.
Surely there comes a time where the amount offered doesn't matter, its the principle and message that it sends out that's telling. I am just sick and tired of these big clubs coming and taking our best players like vultures. Everytime we get close to building a really top side the same thing happens, and as a result we have to go through another season of transition and rebuilding. There comes a time where enough is enough, if we are serious about Champions League and winning trophies then we simply have to keep Bale- there no two ways about it.
World record bid?
I'm sorry but we would have to accept.
And then he breaks his leg.
Sorry but if there is a bid in excess of £85m we'd have to accept. I wish we were in a position that we didn't but that is too much money to turn down.
