Good news about Pav, despite being inconsistant he is a very good striker to have on the books.
Was speaking to a couple of mates who are both sides of liverpool colours and they both think he is pretty good!! not that there opinion means shit, but they like the fact that he has a go on goal if he gets a chance. dont shoot you dont score. thought he was his usual self today, bad first touch but did play some intelligent balls wide at times to keep it moving.

Colombia are out of the Copa America.

Let's have a serious go for Falcao, please Dan!?

Roman Pavlyuchenko has no plans to leave Tottenham and is keen to extend his contract at White Hart Lane, according to his agent.

The Russia international has struggled at times for regular first-team starts due to Harry Redknapp's attacking options.

Pavlyuchenko has to compete with Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch for a berth in the XI with Rafael van der Vaart often employed in a forward role.

That has led to suggestions that the former Spartak Moscow man could be ready to leave the North London club and seek a new challenge.

"We don't care about any other offers because Roman wants to stay in London, his heart belongs to Tottenham."

But the 29-year-old's agent, Oleg Artemov, insists that his client is only interested in agreeing new terms with Spurs when they return from their pre-season tour to South Africa.
Artemov told Sovetskiy Sport: "We haven't talked about Roman's future with Tottenham yet. The team is in South Africa at the moment and then we'll negotiate about his contract extension.

"We don't care about any other offers because Roman wants to stay in London, his heart belongs to Tottenham."

Yid! I think it's cos of the 'super pav' chants. Perhaps he knows Keane and Defoe are half out the door????? And any replacements may take time to settle? (Hopefully he doesn't know that we aren't signing any strikers!!!)

I highly doubt we'd be able to get him, but you never know. Lately I've been thinking he's part of the whole B&Y thing as there was the POTL update that had B&Y=9 or something like that which I think is his Porto squad number. Also, POTL was very confident that B&Y would come to fruition in a couple weeks which would be after the Copa (he wouldn't have known when Columbia would be knocked out), and he said it'd impress Modric

You know he just signed a new deal and has a 40 something million euro release clause now?
yep! but if you want to play with the big boys you have to act like the big boys!! if we think he is the one then offer 35m pounds. we could offer 100k per week. ??

Contracts mean nothing these days though, do they

With Porto and release clauses it tends to.

Chelsea had to meet the clause to buy their manager from them, do you think they'll let their prized stiker go any easier?

Falcao is not worth 45m euros... For that sort of price you should be looking to get a villa, Eto'o or an aguero

So this new striker, do we think soon is end of this weekend or end of next week?

I hope it's the former.

People raised a good point about Tevez telling Aguero how shit they treated him, better to try and fail than fail to try IMO.
