I meant in as much as he has scored in the prem fairly regular last season and is more aware of it so wouldnt need much adjusting time.
But i back the club to get it right after weighing up all the decisions.

Wish I had your faith, we don't have a brilliant track record of late. I suppose there at least seems to be a more defined strategy at the moment

Everyone chill we will sign the Germans while we are in Germany . It's so simple I'm surprised it hasn't been spoken about more..

According to ITK we are progressing all these problems. Wont be in and ready before the Man U game but we (HOPEFULLY) will have them sorted by TW end.

I think this is what I find annoying-it gets to the crunch end of the season and every game and point is life and death in that chase for top 4 (for example), but we don't have that same attitude at the start of the season-proven by everyone saying don't worry that we don't have the players in by utd. These games are as important as the ones next spring. Just wanted our squad weakness, mainly CDM, sorted in time for Poch to work with the team preseason.

From what I've been reading it sounds if Man Utd are having their own problems despite the fortunes spent. We'll give them a game alright.

What, tell them to bring their overnight bags and smuggle 'em back to the UK?

i hate to break it to you mate but Sven's record of league appearnces over the last 3 seasons is 13, 19 and 20. He has a pretty horrible injury record. A very good player - yes - but he is not going to give you 40+ games a season, He is an interesting target in that respect. I thought we would have learned by now. But he's cheap innit.

Teams under poch have improved immensely with injuries. We went from second in days lost to injury the season before poch, to near the bottom in his first season.

Maybe the transfer committee feel that under our training regime that his injury record isn't that great of a concern?

Good afternoon everybody, been away for two weeks, out of touch and completely offline so I've come straight back on here to see what I've missed, and it appears to be bugger all, don't worry though they've just been waiting for me, watch it kick off now.:)

So he's due for 25, extrapolate

You think it would be common sense

Me to mate, and that's the frustrating reality of it.

But we also have to appreciate that we're working off a list of targets for each area we're looking to address. These negotiations will invariably be protracted in our case because we can't, and won't, just bow to the demands of the selling Club in the first instance.

That's the fiscal model we operate under and it doesn't make good business sense for us to deviate away from that despite the obvious advantage of getting players in earlier. If we get lax in that respect, those business principles that have brought us so far in recent times are probably going to end up compromised.

You raised a good point here as when poch said at the end of last season he wanted to get business done early, i did smile and thought he was being overly optimistic.
We never have a full squad good to go ready in time for the start of the season its the way the club feel is best to do there business.
However lots of us feel that because of the food chain we have to trade later which i tend to disagree with as others with less resources have done theirs, i think its a club mindset.
Personally i would prefer the transfer window to shut before the season starts as currently i think the set up is wrong.
