Why is his attitude shocking, he is not even our player yet apparently. If City were willing to give him the time off that's surely up to them.

With an attitude like that he can fuck right off.
"Hi, potential new employee, we have a team-building residential trip taking place during the holiday period you had already arranged with your current employer. Although we have not signed a contract or indeed confirmed that you will be working with us in the future, and are not paying your wages -particularly the image rights that will almost certainly be used to pad your wage packet - do you fancy changing your plans and coming along for free?"

Some people don't quite get it. Ade is a Man City player, why do some on here feel that he belongss to us and should therefore spend preseaon with us. Imagine Luka did that with Real Madrid?

Main difference being that we're selling Luka very reluctantly whereas City can't wait to get shot of Ade. I reckon they would bend over backwards to facilitate his transfer.

What if he got a career ending injury? We wouldn't want to buy him and there's a pretty good chance Man City's insurers would refuse to pay out.

People are commenting on the ITK (this is the itk thread?) that says Ade doesn't/didn't fancy the trip.

whether it is true or not that's why people are commenting about it.

However people are responding to it as fact and resorting to insulting the player. That can't be right.

City obviously have a different way of dealing with players who they want to leave the club, Adebayor apparently allowed to go on holiday to the States and Carlos Tevez is caddying for Romero at the Open and too appears to have been excluded from their pre-season plans.

Adebayor's lack of fitness will probably affect us, but it is of no consequence to his current club, in fact it could possibly benefit them.

Im confused...Ade isnt our player so why WOULD he be on our pre-season tour. It makes no odds whatsoever if he did or didnt fancy it. As far as i can see he ISNT a Spurs player...or did i miss something.

They don't seem to have done too much bending in any direction so far.

You could just open an account and follow people but then you'd have no reason to complain... hmm.

Look, I am grateful for anyone that takes the time to cut and paste relevant stuff in SC. But using that post above as an example which just said "he's not on the plane", all it needed was one word or two i.e.: RE Modric, to qualify it. What that does is tell everyone who it refers to and saves (in some cases) one or two or (in other cases) several extra posts with people (like SS57 did with that post) guessing or explaining who they think it refers to and therefore less crap to sift through. I don't even mind entertaining, off topic spam or off discussion that drifts off topic a bit, but several meaningless posts where people are just trying to figure out what the fuck a piece of tweet refers to is just irritating and really unnecessary when all the original post needs is a couple of words to clarify.

They way Dragon has written it though suggests that Ade has delayed signing the contract because he wants extra time off.

Dragon appears to be losing the ability to communicate in English properly, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions from the info just yet.

There could be any numbers of reasons (primarily the fact that he isn't a Spur yet).

Doesn't the ITK somewhat suggest though that the delay in signing him is partially due to him wanting an extended holiday? I sincerely doubt anyone criticising him was expecting him to train with us whilst still a City player...

Whatever the ITK might suggest the facts are that he hasn't signed yet for Spurs, most likely due to the wages still being ironed out. Therefore there's very little reason for anyone to be in anyway annoyed at Ade for not joining a preseason that legally he can't even play in yet. He's negotiating, he'll be with us soon enough if the deal is right.

As far as I'm concerned, Shitty can continue to pay him for another week. If we have got proper trainers, he should be ready for opening day with 3 weeks of training. As regards gelling with teammates, he knows the way they play already, and should be able to blend properly.
