Unfortunately can't see RM pulling out. All the stunts of putting him on the website, erecting the stage etc...means I think they intend to see it through. DL could easily pull the plug though, but as you say we are asking for a lot of dosh, maybe even DL thinks we are getting more than his value?

Disappointed that Bale is in Marbella, think he should at least be supporting his current club, playing or not, until he is an official RM player.

All the more reason to stick to our guns on the price. They will look like proper pillocks if they can't bring it home after such an prematurely arrogant display. Another ace in Levy's hand.

Personally I think Mourinho is too egotistical to pull a stunt like that, he will already believe that they are better than us.

It's quiet on ITK because they're all in Marbella at Gareth's leaving do;)

I would imagine this is done with our blessing. Taking the media circus away from the club so we can focus on our game tomorrow. There's no point having that distarction around at the moment. We might as well get used to being without him anyway.

I am still quietly confident of this. Nor for reasons relating to Willian but that we are asking too much money for him.

We actually are, but the reality is that we on't want to sell him. So RM can make any excuse that they want but at the end of the day, he is contracted to THFC, and if you want him - YOU PAY WHAT WE ASK!!! IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, IT REALLY IS THAT F*CKING SIMPLE!!!!

Now I am not naive to think that he will not go next season, but I am not buying the story that we have not announced anything so that we keep the price of our targets down. HELLO McFLY!!! every other club in the world knows exactly what we could be doing, and have access to sites like this, and have their own ITK and they will hold out for top dollar because "there is a chance that we have the Bale money to spend".

.
I think he's going this season they've just built a gantry to parade him around. Unless that is part of the physiological warfare.

Re the gnomes info- has football really gone so far up its own arse that rather than let another team/teams have other players. They spend the equivalent of the cost of a new hospital wing on a player they don't wont or need

Dark dark days and shame on all those involved...

Chelsea have been operating that policy since the russian took over.

Guys get over it. A Brazillian with no affinity to the premier league choses a champions league club who have won two European trophies over the last two seasons instead of us. Yes it hurts but with out club loyalty would most players not do the same? He will play plenty of games it will be Hazard Mata Oscar and him rotating across 3 positions.

Move on and wait for the next ITK and stop moaning.

I would be interested to hear whether the Willian and AVB drink really happened. Disappointed in Willian who has made some poor career choices in the past and apparently now.

Cannot really blame him, can see him usurping Mata, and a 3 of Hazard, Oscar, Willian is deadlier IMO...plus Moses is crap...besides that I genuinely felt gutted over it. But I really think he is a good player, and I don't think he is hardly the bad apple we all make him out to be. He is a nice friendly guy imo from his pics, vids, and instagram. I would hate rude thrash talking disrespecting and footballers who party and smoke than doing there job on the pitch, and the like much more.

I hate Chelsea, but I like Willian, but yeah he has crap agents to be sure. And Mourinho is a ****

There's far more to it though, he could realistically go to Chelsea, warm their bench for two years and get a cut price move back to Brazil and never get close to realising his poetntial.

With Spurs he had a true shot at becoming a great footballer, perhaps not quite at the level as the guy in my avatar, but nonetheless a top quality attacking player. By chosing Chelsea he has put a serious dent in that chance if you ask me.

Took this to the Willian thread (y)

Yes and it happened quite some time ago. It's bleak and THFC is the single, solitary thing that keeps me interested in the filthy business.

I agree with your view on this mate and it really makes me sick that this once beautiful game has become so bad. There is so much corruption and bad money in the game that it really has come down to my love for Spurs that keeps me going. I used to love watching football for the complete thrill of it, Though now I can't stand to watch teams like Man city, Chelsea and Spain's fifa teams ruin the game and now you have the influx of french teams going the same way, I mean bloody Monaco come up from the Championship equivalent and spend god knows how much money which should never be allowed to happen!

It is not just the money though, So much bitterness and bullshit from the media regarding our club, People like Redknapp jnr and others are nothing but vile twats. I used to believe Bill Shanklys saying about football being more important than life or death, Well now that saying is losing it's meaning and football has lost it's soul. I hoped that the FFP would change footballs view, It hasn't and it won't. The common man's game was buried a long time ago.

Update to 1524 (p. 77) yesterday:

I asked why did somebody decide last minute to spend £30m on Willian when they could have done it a week earlier when Anzhi first made the announcement ? It doesn’t matter proving what the truth is, that was the question being posed yesterday afternoon ‘in Madrid’. The recent acrimony runs much deeper there than here. In their view Spurs were collateral not the target. Can’t say more at the moment (offline until late) except there is something called the law of unintended consequences.

Yes, the whole maybe stop Bale moving to RM gambit. I mean, they've got Oligarch money, what does it matter to them either? A European rival gets egg on their face or a potential domestic rival is likely severely weakened. Win win.

The bastards.

If the implication is Bale is staying I don't buy it, would love to but he's as good as gone IMO

If the gnome is correct and Chelsea are messing with people it's a dangerous game to play because madrid and co can mess back.
