If Parker goes I see the sense in it, I think he got a lot of unfair criticism this year and he wasn't as bad as a lot of people made out, but it would be silly to have a back up who is on big wages and the older you get, even if you are a good player, it does get harder to be dropped into the team for the odd game and get up to speed quickly (eg. Gallas at the end of the season).

However as I said the other day, if he goes I would like to see him replaced with another who is capable of being cover for Sandro. Whilst we have two or three in theory who may be able to cover for him, I don't want them to be lumbered with additional defensive responsibilities.

IT WAS A JOKE CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why are you spamming me?!?

Just trying to have a laugh given the lack of ITK - stop being so miserable - the sun's out, cheer up mate!

just for further reference, if you want to start to go back and rating people posts as spam is not on

I rated your post as spam as its clearly marked as no cryptic and there was nothing to read into it, just like this post was unneeded.

News on Parker hopefully puts any lingering doubts about the Paulinho signing to bed.
Wish I could share your optimism. Let's get this Confed Cup out of the way, get him signed and announce it on the OS, my nails are down as far as they will go.

I do like the idea of Livermore out on loan to a PL club.

Would be good to see what he can do for a season when he gets a good run of games. Dont think he will be a starter for us, but a squad player or hopefully just increase his value

The food isn't even THAT good in Florence, that particular area of Italy has relatively simple food tastes compared to other Italian regions, much more simple and basic meat with veg prevalent there. London is one of the biggest melting pots in the world with an absolute avalanche of high standard restaurants of all kinds of denominations. For a man of Villa's means, food in London would be better and more varied, IMO ! Naples on the other hand - mmmmmmm

Well, there's a subject I didn't think I'd post about in here :)
Or Bologna - double mmmmmmmmm.

ITK is starting to come......Tomorrow is the 1st July. Could our patience finally be rewarded? Are we on the cusp of making a signing or two? (Yes, we are IMO :D)

I know it will probably take a few days after the Confeds finish for anything to be tied up but i'm going to be excited as soon as the final whistle blows tonight. It's like Christmas!

Just thinking that the winner will want to stay longer, parade the trophy etc. Won't be expecting anything major to be announced until at least Tuesday.

I'm actually planning my holiday so I don't miss deadline day. That's incredibly sad, right?

Nope, because if my job allowed it then I'd do the same. :p Will it be a 6pm deadline (or something similar) does anyone know?

I will be working away until very close to that date, too close in face. Under the guise of being home for my girlfriends birthday (Sept 4th) i am planning to be home end of August not to miss deadline day.

BC its not sad, its one of the 2 most important dates in the spurs calender!

Sorry A&C, I have to do it.
We may be on the verge of making a signing or two, but not the cusp.
After the cusp , the moment is gone.
It's a common misuse of the word "cusp".
Please don't hate me, but I feel I have to keep you on the straight and narrow ( especially with your tendency towards deviancy :) ).

Thank you, that's the correct answer.;)

Can you imagine how weird it will be if we get all our signings tied up early and sign no-one on deadline day? (Mwhahaha, and you can't optimistic rate me!)

IMO not good enough for Tottenham or any other team fighting to be near the top.

If he didn't come through our academy would we rate Livermore?

Send him on loan to a mid table team for 1 season. Hopefully he plays well and we sell him for a inflated price.
