Evans is utter shite. There's a reason United want to get rid, and if he was at any other club in England he'd be seen as that.

King is fucked, Woodgate's gone, Gallas is getting on, Bassong and Dawson aren't that great. Evans is better than Bassong and Dawson now and has improvement in him.

Dawson is superb, so much better than Evans it's unreal.

Two years ago I would agree with you, but last year he was terrible. United fans worry when they see his name on the team sheet now.

Smalling and now Jones will play before Evans.

There was a story in one of the rags a few days ago saying Fergie was going to offer Berbatov and Evans plus £12m for our favourite rat faced wantaway.

Jenas should want to, his career has stalled big time. Plays maybe once in 5 games. Shows his character to me, happy to pick up his wage but never play. Fair enough but if I were a pro I'd want to play every game

Sad that a player who doesn't moan and complain all the time, is happy to do his bit as part of a successful squad and is ready to knuckle down and work for his place is accused of having a poor character just being happy to pick up his wages without needing to play, maybe with fewer injury problems he'll play more often next year, he may think so anyway.
Should we have more respect for someone who causes problems whenever he doesn't get picked or wants a move with no consideration or loyalty to his club, team mates and fans?

But he was playing for free scoring Manchester United team and he only scored 21 in total in the previous two years combined, Darren bent got 17 for Sunderland and Aston Villa with no three years to settle in so maybe we'd be better off bringing Darren back. In fact thinking about it, we would be.

Berbatov back? I don't think Levy would want him after the way he left. He's the only person that hasn't had "We wish him all the best at his new club" ending statement on the OS announcement

i don't think that is the case with Jenas though. he does want to play. i remember last september where he came out and said he had played with a long term injury and considered leaving at one stage when some offers had come in for him.

Being reasonable about Jenas will not help you win friends and influence people on this MB :wink:

Leaving aside the fact that I would like to hanstring berbaGit with a spoon and some rusty guitar wires, I really can't see Beetroot Face being prepared to willingly strnegthen us in this way - if he wants to be nice to us by giving us BerbaGit, it wouldn't be so we could play a formation like that. It would be so he could prevent us from having a formation like that - in other words, he would want Modric. There is a reason that the top teams would (collectively) like to have not one, but several of our players and that is because we are a real threat to them, now, and they want to break our emerging team up. IMHO:grin:

The only thing I could see lending it any credence is that Hairy RatMuff and Beetroot Face MacRed Nose are old cronies...didn't they used to be Barrow Boys together during the War (Crimean) or summit:shrug:

Good point re Jenas, but it's not just about how many goals Berbatov scores, it's his overall effect on how the team play and what he creates for those around him too.

It's not a lack of respect to jenas in any way, he may get a bashing on here and I've done my fair share in the past but the guy has talent, he would start for any other team outside the top 6. If he has England ambitions and wants to make use of his talent while he can he should decide to move. Being at least 4th choice is hardly preferable and especially with Harrys "rotation" he isn't likely to start bar injuries.

All good for us I suppose but being possibly 5th choice behind palacios isn't making use of the career he could have.

no chance on either evans or bervbatov. why are people even talking about it? when is last time ferguson sold a top player in his prime or with good few years left in them to a premiership rival?

secondly evans is very very average. only reason he looks half decent is cos he plays with eother rio or vidic. u stick bassong with king and he looks a world beater.

berbatov i have no doubt wud never even cotemplate coming back. no chance and like rossi i think he wud have no interest now in us

Honestly, if Dawson was playing for any other team you lot would be taking the piss out of him every week.

He's got no football brain, no pace, can't bring the ball out of defence, can't mark at set pieces. But hey, he's got a really good header on him and once every 5 games one of his hoof's finds a team mate, so lets fucking canonise him eh.

Perhaps it was Evans, Berbatov, 22m for Dawson ?
