Definitely no.

Various journos are convinced they'll get Sneijder.

I'm hoping that this is going to be a signing thats more "under the radar" than the targets we've been linked with more publicly.

We are obviously on good terms with Bilbao (pre-season frinedly at the lane) and it was reported we put a bid in previously. Seeing as he has hardly deterioated since January, presumably the interest remains - unless he has ruled out coming to England.

I strongly believe that friendly is a part of our signing him. He would fit right in as a lone striker, could really tear it up in the air. Just imagine him being on the receiving end of our crosses instead of Crouch...

Evans can't be worth more than 5-6 million, meaning we'd be paying 15-16 for Berba - whichever way you look at it, it's a bad deal for us. I wouldn't even rate Evans anywhere near as highly as Bassong or Kaboul, let alone Ledley, Gallas or Daws.

I really hope the friendly is something to do with a deal, but I doubt it very much.

But it's not your rating that counts. If the Arry is happy to have them all we can really do is get behind them if they ever arrive.

So Noodle is actually saying Berba, Evans and 22 million for Modric was the offer?

Adding Evans to the deal is a bigger insult than Chelsea's pitiful bid tbh

He was vague with his question and most people assumed this but the clarified that he hadn't mentioned Modric (which I take to mean we pay £22 mil for Berbs and Evans).

I'd take that.

Barbatov and Evans for 22m is a fantastic deal. FFS, Liverpool just paid 35m for a striker not fit to lace Berbatov's bots, and 20m for a midfielder who isn't as good as Jenas on a bad day.

King is fucked, Woodgate's gone, Gallas is getting on, Bassong and Dawson aren't that great. Evans is better than Bassong and Dawson now and has improvement in him.

This is a slightly new slant on an old story.

There was a story in one of the rags a few days ago saying Fergie was going to offer Berbatov and Evans plus £12m for our favourite rat faced wantaway.

me too.. could always sell evans for 5/6m. berbs is exactly the no 9 we need. say for 15/16m. berbs is class. fact. but im not sure he would come back.

If Modric is not part of the deal, I'd definitely want us to deal. Get Berbatov back, and have a centre-back to fill the gap left by Bassong when he inevitably leaves.
