The only reason I think that it is taking so long is that the FA are not happy, or have said no and Levy is fighting tooth and nail to get the yes....just a thought.

Crouch's first touch is very poor, at least Pav is capable of having a decent first touch, the problem is that he's very hit and miss with it.

The only slightly disappointing aspect of all this, if it does come off, is that it's a pity he was signed so late (through no fault of Spurs). I think if he had signed a week or even a couple of days earlier, it would've attracted a top striker too. Fabiano may have even pushed for the move himself or KJH might've liked the idea of joining up with him again. Absolutely over the moon though if it does come off, and maybe a top striker in January may be forthcoming, especially if we do manage to get out of the group stages in the CL.

Exactly, there is always Jan

There are still other transfers to be sorted by the FA by all accounts, a player going to blackpool and Jacobsen going to West Ham.

Alternatively they have ratified it in principle, but they are just formalising the legal arguments / statements regarding the evidence that was presented in order to prevent/pre-empt any challenge from other premier league clubs.

We really have no idea what is happening.

What planet are you on? Crouch has excellent control, always has. Its just that he has the turning circle of an articulated lorry.
