one of their quotes from bluemoon lol;

What a loser! I'll guarantee Dalglish won't be saying anything like that! Think like that and the players will believe it!

Exactly - bet the likes of Modric and Van der Vaart are pretty chuffed hearing that

professioinal footballers especially ones with intelligence like VDV and Modders are well versed in not giving a fuck when hacks try to stir shit

I'd imagine they really couldn't give 2 fucks what the manager says in a post match interview unless he's specifically slagging them off

and who really gives a fuck about what abunch of glory hunters think anyway

Arsenal are the realistic competition now...Wenger recognises this hence his 'I'm ready to spend quotes'////

yeah but he's said that before and not really done it, besides Wengers track record spending big aint great

Not really as clear cut as these remarks though. I expect him to spend or they are going to be competing for fourth next season and not the title.

nothing magical about it, its just about not settling for 2nd place. Clearly Harry thinks 5th is great. What a winner!

Not necesarilly, I do think its more Harry's defensiveness than any sort of rational appraisal of our progression and chances for next season.

If I were a player I wouldn't care about the interview as such but if it was in line with other things I was picking up on it could have an influence in terms of forming a judgement over the future direction of the Club.

I'm sure its what you say, just the wrong choice of words taken the wrong way...and behind closed doors between Harry and playing staff the conversations are very different indeed.

From my point of view I can see why it pisses some people off, but whats more important is his record on the pitch, and that over the last two full seasons more than speaks for itself.

shit I'd settle second place next season especially considering we have the seventh biggest wage budget in the league and clearly Harry just thinks we've had a great season and I'd agree with him, sure it could've been better but it was still great nonetheless

I really can't see why so many people get pissed off, to me what happens on the pitch is the main thing. The media is a circus and largely to be ignored. It's full of people with agendas trying to influence things that are none of their business. I just think Harry should be cut some slack for the results he's achieved here. I get pissed with the numpties who are just waiting to jump on every little detail they disagree with and get band wagons started that nothing positive can come from. With Levy as our chairman and Harry as our manager we've been punching above our weight and I see no reason why that will change they are both very good at what they do. People need to enjoy this period in our clubs history because as recent history will tell you we don't often have a manager who achieves what Harry has achieved. Levy backs all his managers in the transfer market but most of them don't get the team playing entertaining possesion football were we win more times than not especially away from home at some of the top clubs.

Harry says anything to the media, it means nothing, he just talks crap to keep them happy.

If Jose came here his comments would even be more bizzare.
Having met Harry this season at a function in the one minute I had with him, he said that his ambition is to win the prem with spurs, and he mentioned that he thinks we will do this in the next couple of years ago by "sneaking in the back door". He is deadly serious about this and genuinely sees spurs as his chance to win the league.
I believe this too....

All true, but he will piss certain sections of the support off with those sort of remarks.

The thing is if he actually spent less time talking to the media half these problems/discussions wouldn't arise.

I think labelling it a great season considering what we (Harry) achieved last season is wide of the mark, I really do.

The Champions League was great but the second half of the League was dissappointing, no matter the reason - it was.

On balance it was a good season when factoring in how well we did for our first time in the Champions League, but in terms of the League we were better last season and the players know that.

I know were you coming from when you look at our recent history, its a great season....but off the back of last season? No not for me.

Champions League was excellent, the League was good considering we were juggling two massive competitions for the firs time...but I couldn't declare it as a great season because deep down I know we could/should of finished fourth when you look at the alarming regularity we were dropping points against sides we should of been beating. Not saying we have a devine right too...but we dropped too many points when we shouldn't have - given the quality of this side.

Had we turned some of those home draws into wins and got fourth I would of declared it a great season along with the impressive debut campaign in the Champions League.

Might sound harsh but winners constantly strive to improve...and I'm a winnner

I joke, the bottam line is Harry has done very well in his two full seasons in charge - and overall the last two years have been great, that I cant really argue with whatsoever

I agree with alot of what you say but on the balance of things taking everything into consideration the good far outweights the bad. Our excellent CL run with big victories against some top clubs coupled with another top 5 finish with victories at the Emirates and Anfield make it a great season for me. We're still in europe and we've got all our top players tied down on long contracts. Besides Harry last year when is the last time we have finished better than 5th? early 90s with Venables was it? Harry has become a victim of his own success with alot of people.

Dont think we are a million miles away from how we see it. Certain element of truth in Harry becoming a victim of his own success buts its the nature of the beast in this business sometimes.

I think a lot of fans are obviously dissappointed with this season because of last season. There was so much hope, we had reached the so called promised land, role on big signings and us becoming a heavy weight. A bit more to it than that but thats the way a lot of people felt. The excitment takes over and imaginations go into over-drive.

My point is that its this hope, expectation and excitement that was generated from that brillant effort last season which has got people feeling dissappointed now. Add to that the nature of were the dropped points have come from and I can understand that many feel a bit flat and dissappointed.

The Champions League, were we truly excelled in and brought the attention of the world on to us, makes it even more dissappointing - as strange as that sounds because we looked flipping great and deserved to be there - we looked at home in it. We can be extremely proud of our efforts in the Champions League and Harry deserves great credit for the way we looked so composed in a competition of this stature for the first time.

I think all these emotions have dissappointed a lot of people even if it sounds like a spoilt child spitting the dummy out.

There is no denying that overall Harry has done a great job though, none whatsoever.

I agree it would've been great to get into that top 4 again but I think there's alot of people with a lack of perspective regarding the issue, you are obviously not one of them.
